Happy FriYAY!! This week has been a damn busy week over here in the PaleOMG kitchen. In the past five days, I’ve made about 8 recipes for you guys, and I’m about to photograph two more this early Friday morning! I’m trying to get ahead of all my recipes so I have a handful in the archives ready to go once our wedding week in Jamaica sneaks up! I can’t believe it’s going to be here in 2 short months! So excited! I finally get my dress altered next week so I think it will finally feel real once that happens! Squeeeeeee!
Anywho, let’s talk about this weeks outfits. This was one I threw on short notice when we decided to have a dinner date out to sushi with some friends. I am seriously IN LOVE with this collar necklace and wanted to wear an outfit that was made just around the necklace itself. And it went perfectly with my new boots and purse that I’m pretty much wearing every day…when there isn’t a foot of snow on the ground.
Once it decided to dump snow on us over the weekend, I had to change my outfit change up…to bundling up. I bought this jacket last year but this anorak has become a staple in my winter wardrobe because it’s faux fur lined and fits over bulky sweaters! I linked two similar ones that would be perfect for bundling up while still looking stylish in the sweater bulky months!
Some of my favorite days are my rest days from the gym. That’s usually when I decide to take a day off of work or just work less, because well, not getting sweaty means more time on the couch. This day off from the gym meant little makeup, hair that stayed curled from the day before, and a comfortable outfit on a snowy day while heading to dinner with my mom! I want to grab this thermal in more colors because it’s only $23 and perfect for any day!
Something that has been a life saver for me in the sh*tty winter months are snow boots. Waterproof, intense snow boots. I’ve had these ones for a couple years now and they are still holding up great! And since everyone should have a great pair of boots, I’ve linked several below that are on sale right now!! Grab ’em before they’re gone! Because we all know, winter sucks right now!
Now to the complete opposite spectrum of clothing. Swimsuits. Since our wedding is in Jamaica in 2 short months, I’m starting to go a bit overboard with swimsuits. But that’s the only real thing you really wear while at an all inclusive hotel. Sure, you’ll have a couple dressed up dinner, but everything else is swimsuit involved. So I’m loading up! I usually don’t like swimsuits that don’t have padding, but this one fits perfectly. Sure, I’ll have to load up on the sunscreen because the tan lines could be devastating, but hell, I should be wearing SPF450 at this time in my life and my skin begins to age quicker than I’d prefer. Damn you 8 years of lifeguarding!!! I’m linking other favorites below that you’ll most likely see me sporting in two months on the beaches in Jamaica!
