35 Bone Broth Recipes
Pregnancy is wild. One day I’m feeling great, eating all the vegetables, organ meats, and drinking my bone broth…then the next minute, even just the thought of any of those things makes me sick to my stomach. It makes nutrition hard to navigate at times. But luckily I’ve found ways to sneak in bone broth on a daily basis! I’ve been adding it to protein shakes, adding it as a broth to rice and beans since that’s the only thing I can stomach at times, or just sipping it in a mug with some extra hot sauce.
If you’re wondering why I’m so obsessed with bone broth while pregnant, that’s fair. Bone broth is rich in collagen which helps build and repair connective tissues like joints, tendons, and ligaments. But it’s also a great source of protein that can help support brain health, immune system, and digestive system. So it’s great for not only you, your hair, nails, skin, and more, but it’s great for building healthy organs in your baby. Bone broth is also loaded with glycine, which is an amino acid that is vital for synthesis of fetal DNA!! Bone broth is awesome! And it’s pretty cheap, if you make it yourself! I’m too lazy for that so I always buy Kettle & Fire bone broths at my local grocery stores since it’s shelf stable and it doesn’t take up extra room in my fridge or freezer. If you’re not drinking bone broth, you gotta change that up! So I’ve put together a list of all my favorite recipes that are packed with bone broth so you can add some creativity to your weekly diet that includes plenty of bone broth and plenty of nutrients! Hopefully this inspires you to get creative and enjoy bone broth in new ways!
