Finely dice onions. Add avocado oil to a pan over medium heat. Add diced onions to the pan, sprinkle with salt, and move those onions around every so often, ensuring they don’t burn. Turn temperature down if needed. Once they become translucent, add some sugar and let them cook until they are brown and beautiful.
