Remember the days when you could walk out of your house without a jacket in hand, in clothes that barely covered your arms, and your only worry was if you had enough sunscreen on or not. Well those days are OVER! Forget about them! It’s time for you to move on because summer has, too. And to help you get over the break up of summer, it’s time for you to flirt with some sweaters. Because even though summer left you feeling alive and warm inside from all the fun activities you got into during the hot months, winter will be there for you in a new way. And a cozy sweater will wrap you in comfort and keep you feeling like summer never left.
Did I just do a whole love/break up analogy about sweaters? Yes, yes I did.
Whenever summer comes to an end, my hearts breaks a little bit. But then I’m quickly reminded that winter is filled with the softest, coziest, and comfiest sweaters. And who needs the warm hug of summer when I can find a turtleneck sweater that I never want to take off. If you’re not a fan of winter or you’re new to living in a place that serves a cold slap to the face every morning, then you need some cozy sweaters in your life. A sweater is just what the doctor ordered in winter. No need to wish winter away when you have a closet filled with warm clothes that feel like you’re wearing a blanket all day every day.
And Express has A TON of amazing sweaters right now, most of which are on sale as I type this post up! I recently went shopping at the Cherry Creek Express store and found this Striped Balloon Sleeve Sweater and latched onto it before anyone else could grab that size. I forced this sweater to date me. And now we are in love. Pretty much like my marriage. What I love about this sweater is that it’s not too short like many I find on shelves nowadays. That way I can tuck it into my jeans to give a little more shape to the look. But the best part is how soft the material is. It’s not itchy or scratchy, it’s soft, fuzzy, and it’s incredibly warm. No need to hate winter. You’ll actually want to embrace it when you’re wearing this sweater.
And even though I’ve said it a million times here on the blog and on instagram, Express crushes it when it comes to jeans. I used to DREAD going jeans shopping and I would find myself crying in the fitting rooms because nothing actually fit. Well that was before I found Express jeans. And the best part is their jeans keep getting better and better. I don’t know who their designer is, but they understand women’s bodies, and they are constantly trying to improve to make sure every woman feels amazing in the jeans they put on. I recently snagged these High Waisted Button Fly Ankle Jeans and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! They are made with Perfect Lift technology which means they have specially placed darts to lift and shape the bum, perfectly placed pockets, and more stretch for more movement and comfort. AND the jeans are available in size 00-18!! This means you’ll not only feel amazing in the jeans because they move with you throughout the day, but you’ll look in better in them! And I freaking love the button front trend because now I never have to worry about my zipper falling down. Can we just get rid of zippers all together and move on to some sort of better technology? I hate zippers. They are just stupid.
