Something that I really love about my blog is that I’m doing exactly what I want to do. I share recipes because I love food. I share workout ideas because I love working out. And I share Fashion Friday posts because it’s something that really makes me feel more confident because of eating well and working out. I do exactly what I want to do and I’ve been able to inspire a couple people along the way. Whether that’s through food, workouts or fashion. Pretty damn cool. And the best thing about it is that I’ve helped women find their confidence and their voice along the way, without meaning to. This woman below, Britni Jensen, is doing the same thing.

I recently met Britni a couple months ago because I shopped at her boutiques all.the.time. And talk about my amazing finds from her boutiques all.the.time. So we were able to come together to chat more about our businesses and goals. She’s seriously amazing. Talk about inspiring, Britni is a true entrepreneur who doesn’t plan on stopping any time soon! If she wants something, she makes it happen. I feel so lucky to know her and to have been able to spend some time in her boutique to get all dressed up for my newest Fashion Friday!

How did Inspyre Boutique come to be?

After wrapping up my MBA I knew that it was time to get out of a job that was simply not my passion, it was time to start developing the life I had imagined. I thought back to my favorite job, which was working as a women’s clothing buyer, and knew that it was time to return to the fashion industry. Luckily, I made some risky real estate decisions when I was younger that absolutely paid off, so I was able to feel comfortable putting everything on the line to open Inspyre. We opened our doors in September of 2011 and it was the best decision ever, I absolutely love my little business and everyone who I am lucky enough to meet and work with through this career path.

What made you want to open your own boutique?

Well clearly because playing with clothes all day is pretty much the best thing ever, hahaa. But seriously, there is something so undeniable about walking out of the house in an outfit that you love. In an ideal world we would all love every single item in our closet and have that feeling every day, we hope to do our best to make that a reality for our customers.

How did you come up with the name Inspyre for your boutique?

I came up with the name when I was stuck behind a desk at a job I loathed, I would look at images on the internet that would inspire me to do bigger and better things with my life.  I wanted to start a new career where I was inspired every day, I ran the name by my (now) husband and he was the one who threw in the unique spelling.  My name is spelled in an original way, so might as well keep that theme rolling.  So just like that, the name Inspyre Boutique was born.

What has been your greatest accomplishment in your business?

Creating an atmosphere of awesome badass chicks. I am SO proud of the women who work for me, and how brilliant they all are on a daily basis. We all come with our own skill set and when you combine a group of girls with one common goal, really cool things happen.

Is there any person you look up to or see as a role model who has inspired you in your entrepreneurial goals?

I really wish I had some cool or inspiring answer for this, but if I am being honest then no- not really.

I guess you can say my parents inspired my entrepreneurial goals, but more so because I didn’t ever want to work for a huge corporate machine they way that they did while we were growing up. Don’t get me wrong, it was fine and they were generally happy, but I wanted more freedom, adventure and more excitement in my work world.

What advice would you give to women who are interested in opening their own business?

Find your passion, your voice, and your style and own it. If your whole heart is in it then you will never regret a single day, and you will love every minute.

When I got together with Britni and her team the other day, I was able to take a look at some of their summer season clothes as well as some of the fall pieces they just got in stock! I love the Inspyre Boutique because they have different kinds of pieces all throughout the store. They have hats, headbands, jewelry, shoes, maxi dresses, jackets, jeans that fit perfect…pretty much everything. This hat below was something that caught my eye right away. I ended up getting every piece of this outfit including the white dress, turquoise necklace, brown leather jacket and got this same hat in a more orange brown color! This dress would be awesome transitioning into fall with a light jacket and some tall boots!

I wish you could see the back of this dress because it was the best part! But alas, you’ll just have to trust me. This black dress is flowy, light and incredibly comfortable. I tried this dress on just because I wanted to try on something with these flat sandals that wasn’t jeans. Peeling jeans on and off in 90 degree heat is not that fun. I ended up not getting the dress, but I did get the sandals. They are SUPER comfortable and have gold chain. I love anything with gold chains.

Here is the hat I bought!! So in love with it! I actually bought this entire outfit. Please ignore the shoes with this outfit, I kind of hate it. But it’s the shoes I wore so GET OFF MY BACK OK?!!? Jk. Kind of. And I’m obsessed with this belt. I can’t wait to find another outfit to pair it with.

Man I need a tan. I hate worrying about skin cancer as I get older. It totally makes me more pale. Growing up sucks.

Does this outfit make me look badass? The answer is: no. But I tried. I LOVED this shirt. Super light and flowy. I paired it with an awesome pair of Flying Monkey Jeans that I’ve talked about many, many times on the blog. They are some of the best jeans I’ve found. They fit my thighs while still fitting my waist. Bomb. Black flat sandals and a simple chain necklace pulled it all together.

But there’s more!!! Black leather jacket? YES PLEASE. I already have one, but I obviously needed another just like the brown one above. It will be perfect for fall!

This is by far my favorite outfit. Fall is right around the corner, but I keep finding jean shorts that fit so I refuse to stop wearing them any time soon! I pretty much want to wear these shorts every single day. I will be wearing them with sandals, then heels, then booties as the weather gets a little cooler. Throwing a long sleeve blue top with a leopard print scarf and long necklace made the outfit perfect for fall. Not for the 90 degree weather I was standing in, but definitely perfect for fall. Just thinking ahead here, people.

Special thanks to Britni at Insypre Boutique for letting me raid her store, for taking pictures of me as I learn to be less awkward on camera, and for letting me giveaway my favorite necklace I found the other day. Do YOU want this necklace? The answer is YES! Head over to Instagram today (Friday) for my flash giveaway!! If you’re the winner, we can sport them together and be two peas in a pod. Winning. And if you’re a fan of any of these pieces, be sure to head to either Inspyre Boutique locations, in the Highlands or Cherry Creek, CO. And be prepared to be inspyred. See what I did there??

Now that I am 48 I am grateful I stopped.. it took 7 years for moi skin to get back to it’s youthful appearance.. and Moi Mommsy n I are now equally in great skin!!!
