Julie! Can you please please tell me your grocery shopping secrets! I saw one of your videos recently and you mentioned you save so much time now cause you order everything online. I know you get some stuff from Thrive,, but what other places do you order all your stuff from weekly?? Thank you in advance! 🙂
i ordered my normal groceries via amazon prime now! they deliver your groceries from whole foods! then i do all my other shopping for specialty items at natural grocers!
Juli,
This is exactly what was needed for the new year. Your assessment questions can be applied to so many aspects of life! Thank you for always sharing how your fitness journey is changing and encouraging us to continuously change and update our fitness journeys. I hope that this year you are able to get the legs that you are looking for! (I think it is safe to say that all of your readers think that they look great now) Are you going to do “bodybuilding” like workouts that target your leg muscles specifically? I am excited to see the new work outs that you will be sharing in your Weekly Workout Posts, they are my favorite thing to read on Monday mornings- they always make the start of a work day better.
Happy New Year and thank you again for taking us along on your journey and never holding anything back.
Sara
hey sara!! i’m definitely going to be doing a little bodybuilding style, but with more athletics pulled into it. meaning, i’ll be doing weighted step ups paired with explosive movements to keep the heart rate up. i hope that makes sense! definitely excited to share more workouts throughout the year! and thank you so much for all the love and kind words. AND for listening to my podcast!
I love your podcasts! I look forward to listening every week. I was wondering if you’d consider doing one about your relationship with your husband? I know in an earlier show you talk about how you met and you’ve shared your ups and downs before, but I was wondering if you could do one that talks more about how you stay so confident and secure in your relationship? I already feel kind of dumb asking this. But I know you both work a lot and you don’t get to see each other very often. I also remember you saying when he’s gone on a trip, you’re totally fine not hearing from him until he gets back. I think that’s so cool and I was wondering if you had any advice on how to get there? I think you’ve said before being an only child has helped you, but just thought I’d ask in case you had any other tips! Thanks 🙂
oh man, i don’t think i could talk for an entire podcast about that. but i’m happy to chat about that here! i think it all comes down to trust and how that person makes you feel day after day. i trust my husband more than anyone and he really shows me respect in times of need. and because of that, we have a lot of trust in each other. he puts me first and i do the same for him. so when he’s traveling or when i don’t see him very much, nothing changes since we both have that same trust for each other. at the end of the day, i married a really amazing man that works so hard to be an even better man and husband every day. he makes it pretty easy. and one other piece is communication. if something upsets me, i tell him. i don’t dwell on it and let it boil inside of me. i explain it, he listens, and we communicate what we both need and move forward. respect, trust and communication has definitely been the 3 pillars to our relationship. i hope that answers any question you may have, but feel free to ask anything here or in my listener questions episode. and i’ll definitely keep this relationship episode idea in mind for the future once i build more ideas around it!
Yay, love that you did another podcast on personal fitness goals and self-reflection. This kind of episode is my jam! I also agree with Sara above who said that the questions you asked could apply to lots of areas of life – for example, your job!
Did you enjoy it? (so important since we spend SO much time working!)
Were you consistent ( maybe a little different for a job: did you work hard or just kind of show up and phone it in?)
Did you get the results you were hoping for? (progress in your career?)
Did you get the rest you needed (again – so-called work-life balance is getting harder and harder it seems…did you find that balance? If not how could you adjust your expectations of yourself or your days to get there?!)
So cool! Thanks for sharing and more of this please!!
absolutely! i didn’t think about it that way, but that’s so true!
Really enjoyed the podcast. I find it inspiring that your goals keep changing and you never stop wanting to see results. Really enjoyed the motivation!
thanks jennifer!! glad you liked this one!
I always love your podcasts, but i have to ask , are you watching the bachelor?!
kind of. i half assed watched part of the 1st episode but it’s such a time commitment and those girls are young AF. this season just seems even less believable than most. and colton is more boring than an old sock.
Catching up on podcasts I’m behind on and really appreciated this episode! I think for people who are already active and working out frequently, it’s pretty easy to just keep doing what you have been doing but I hadn’t really forced myself to go through the process of evaluating whether it is helping me reach my goals or not so I loved this new perspective and will try to incorporate it into my fitness routine.
thanks for listening Diane!!
