I’m obviously still denying that my recent trip to the Caribbean is over. Big time denying it. What is it about the sun that makes you feel so much happier and more alive?! Even after a miserable flight home, I still woke up smiling ear to ear. The ocean, the sun, and even the salt brought me back to life, and I totally needed that! Now I’m back home feeling inspired and looking forward to the next beach I get to dip my toes into. Until then, I’m living vicariously through photos of last week.

During our last day in St. Maarten, we spent the afternoon by the pool and on the beach, soaking up every last minute of sunshine. I usually stick to bikinis for my beach vacations, but when I found this underwire sheer strip one-piece swimsuit from Nordstrom, I knew I needed it! And it seriously fit like a glove! The underwire keeps the girls in place and keeps you feeling secure as you bob through the ocean. The back of the swimsuit clasps in the middle to hold the front in place while still having an open-back to show off a little skin. And the bum of the swimsuit cuts in slim enough that you still feel like you have enough coverage while giving your backside the perfect shape! The more I shop for swimsuits, the more I see how important the cut of the swimsuit is to make everything look lifted and age defying!

But no beach look is complete without the perfect cover-up. Sure, you can be the most confident person on the beach in whatever swimwear you’re wearing, but also still need a cover-up to throw on while you grab a quick bite at the hotel restaurant or go into town to shop or to just wander your hotel in. And this slightly sheer beach cover-up is just that! You can button it up to hide some skin or leave it unbuttoned for a walk along the beach. Plus it’s totally affordable under $100 and comes in 5 different colors! This was my go-to cover-up when I was in the Caribbean and it kept me feeling confident and covered from the sun when I needed a little break from the rays.PaleOMG Fashion - Beach Style in the Caribbean

I think for most people out there, being in a swimsuit for an entire trip can be a little nerve-racking. Or at least it always was for me. As I get older, I not only find more confidence within myself, but I find confidence through the clothing that fits me best and makes me feel beautiful. And this one-piece swimsuit did exactly that! So I’m linking even more black one-piece swimsuits from Nordstrom below to help you feel your absolute most confident while you enjoy the beach and all the memories that come with it! They have such a huge selection that it’s always easy to find one that is perfect for your body shape and whatever adventure you have in store!

Oh, Hi! I’m Juli.

I’m a food hoarder. And a really bad dancer. If you don’t know me well, you will probably not understand my humor. Therefore, I apologize ahead of time. Thanks for listening to my ramblings of my ever-changing life and trusting my kitchen mishaps. Your trust in me is appreciated.

  1. Hey juli! Sorry to leave a non topic comment. But I LOVE your buffalo chicken casserole from your last cookbook. And I’m craving it. But for the life of me, I can’t find a spaghetti squash anywhere right now. I’m a confident cook but I’d hate to ruin your recipe by subbing something crazy. Which do you think would be the best: shredded sweet potatoes or if I can find butternut squash noodles? I’m hestiant to try zucchini noodles. Although fingers crossed I find a spaghetti squash tomorrow. Thank you! Love your recipes and my husband always approves which is A MIRACLE. haha. He’s a good sport. He try’s everything. But he definitely has his preferences.
