I don’t want to tell you what to do or anything, but I’m going to. Because I’m right…12% of the time. And something I think you would benefit from is a belt that fits around your waist to pair with your sweater dresses this fall. What’s that you say? You don’t have any sweater dresses? Well not to worry, I have a balls ton for you today. And if you were unsure of what a balls ton weighs, it’s a lot. I mean, statistics say 250 babies are born every minute. 250. You do the math. Wait, we’re getting off track here (sorry, I watched Yes, God, Yes at 6am this morning so I have balls on the mind). Back to sweater dresses! As we all know, sweater dress can be less than flattering at times. They look like a thick mumu – no shape, no silhouette, just square. But when you add a belt to the mix – BOOM, you got a waistline. Oh hey there, curves! How you doing?
I just found this Balloon Sleeve Shift Dress that’s lined with fleece and decided to pair it with the Coziest Cardigan to create this fall inspired look. When we took these photos, it was about 38 degrees out and I was still super warm, even with my legs not fully covered. This dress is like wearing a soft blanket and the belt cinches everything in to create a curvy look. You look styled, but little does everyone know…you’re just wearing a throw blanket. It’s as simple as that. You get to be stylish and comfortable at the same time. What a beautiful thing. Oh, did I not mention that both the Shift Dress and the Coziest Cardigan are on sale right now?! What a great day!

I just looked outside and saw a snowflake. What a brutal world 2020 is. Straight up brutal.
Anywho, when you’re trying to pick out the best belt for your look, you can go with a thick belt or a thin belt. But for a thicker sweater dress, I prefer a thin belt so it doesn’t overwhelm the look. And a belt really comes in handy for a dress that is longer than you would like because you can simply belt it and pull the dress up slightly above the belt line to create a shorter dress. My knees weren’t made for dresses to sit right above them. That is my least favorite look. My knees prefer distance from my dress. That’s just their preference, ok?? So if I ever found a dress I love, but the length is a little too long (and I’m too lazy to get it hemmed), botta bing botta boom – belt life.
Glow Up That Sweater Dress Mumu
Fall is made for layers, material that feel like you’re on your couch because you should be anyways, and tricking the public into thinking you’ve got style when all you really have is a belt and dirty hair under your pom beanie. I love fall.
