I spend almost every day at the park with my dog. Jackson’s happy place is really wherever he can roll in goose poop so I give in to his puppy needs. He seriously becomes a different dog when we get to the park. He starts sprinting, you can see him smiling…it’s his favorite place to be. So I make sure to make time for him every day so he can be the happiest pup around!
And luckily, every time we go to the park, I get in just a little bit more exercise for the day, too! I’ll chase him, he will chase me, we will go explore in the creek, go find the perfect stick to take home, and then he will be tuckered out for the rest of the day. And since I work from home, going to the park with him is sometimes my favorite part of my day! He is seriously the best! And knowing that he got his exercise in makes me such happy dog-mom!
Just this past weekend, I took Jackson to the park and tried out my new Outdoor Voices gear to put it to the test and it passed with flying colors! These high rise warm-up leggings come up extra high so you’re never having to stop your activity to hike them up! And this tri-tone slashback crop top matches perfectly with the high waisted leggings and shows off just enough skin to help you soak up some vitamin d in the winter sunshine!

Outdoor Voices has so many different colors in both their bottoms and tops, so you have a ton of mix-and-matching that you can do to change up your outfits depending on the day! Like with this tri-tone slashback crop top, I could also wear these warm-up leggings in graphite to match the grey coloring in the crop top. Or I could wear some of the dipped warm-up leggings in charcoal that would match, as well!
And don’t worry, if you’re not in warm weather quite yet, Outdoor Voices has thermal leggings, long sleeve tops, and jackets so you can stay active with your pup in the park, no matter what the weather throws at you!
And in case you’re trying to figure out your own sizes, I got my crop top in a medium and leggings in a small, but next time I put in an order I’ll probably purchase a size small in the crop top and extra small in the leggings! Hope that helps you figure out your own size!

You are my fav!!! Been reading this blog for years now and I am so happy with how much you have grown this thing. Rock on Juli B R!!
I am getting married in Cancun this May. Some podcast talk on destinations wedding would be appreciated. Like.. I thought it would be easier than it is. I thought I just pick a color and show up buttt it seems to be a little more work than that. How many guests did you have? Did you do welcome bags? Favors? I got my dress already and its my favorite part so far! oh, and my future husband. He’s the best.
Thank you, Juli! Keep it up. You are a big inspiration.
Hey AJ! I think destination is as easy as you make it, and i made it super simple. no welcome bags, no favors. i gave my bridesmaids little jewelry gifts beforehand so i wouldn’t have to take them. but i honestly didn’t think anything was challenging. what else are you having issues with?!
How many guests did you have? Did any of your guests give you a hard time about doing a destination? What was a special part of the experience? Anything you wish you didn’t do? I am pretty laid back and just looking forward to a sweet ceremony and awesome beach party… I guess since its coming up I have wedding fever and its all I wanna talk about 🙂
Ahhh you just made my day by writing back!!! I have been following you for yearrrrs but never commented. Again, thanks for all you do. The times in my life that I am healthiest and feel most inspired about food and fitness – your site is sure to be up on my computer screen (and now your podcast is in my ear!!). Love all that you’re doing. Okay I’ll stop now 😉
we had 28. and no one gave us a hard time but we also didn’t invite those people who probably would. the special part was probably being on a vacation for a week with all of our closest friends. i wish i would have eaten on my wedding night and not taken 4789283 shots of vodka and blacked out by 9pm. it’s honestly the best time ever. i have nothing bad to say about it!
Hi AJ – sorry to chime in, as I am obviously not Juli, but I just wanted to say that I also did a destination wedding to Punta Cana, and we had 48 people attend. We just didn’t worry at all about the people that couldn’t be there. The wedding is for you and your husband, and no one else. if they can’t be there for whatever reason, I promise that once you get there, you will be so happy, that none of that stuff will matter. And it really is super easy – try your best to enjoy the day and not be overwhelmed. The little things won’t matter when you look back on it.
Good luck and happy wedding 🙂
Jackson is the cutest!
he’s the bestest!
Hi Juli,
In going to be in Denver for one night next week and wanted to get suggestions on dinner and breakfast restaurants. Need to be kid friendly.
Thanks!
i don’t have kids so i don’t know what’s kid friendly or not but here are my favorite restaurants: https://paleomg.com/eating-gluten-free-staying-active-in-myrtle-beach/
