Hello Luvaaaaa!! Guess what happened this week?? Absolutely nothing. After turning in all of my third cookbook recipes in on Monday, I’ve been vegging out. Even though I’m pretty good at managing my stress nowadays, I still think it got the best of me and I was super pooped afterwards. So I took the week off. I cooked a little, went to brunch, went to lunch, ate some gluten free pizza, some froyo, had a ladies night while watching The Bachelor, did some shopping at Hailee Grace Boutique, sat outside A LOT since it’s been in the 60s-70s, pinned the sh*t out of wedding things, talked to a travel agent about our destination wedding, looked up more resorts, checked out swimsuits online then decided I should wait since we won’t be getting married for about a year and a half, and yeah, and I pinned the sh*t out of wedding things. Ok, I guess I got some stuff done, but nothing business. I haven’t looked at my email, opened my mail, or created new recipes for you guys for next week. But I’ll get there. Starting today. Productive Fridays! That’s a possible thing…right? Sure. Sure it is.
Since it’s been about a bazillion degrees outside, I decided to dust off the old summer crop top and wear it proudly. I used to feel uncomfortable wearing crop tops with jeans…then I stopped caring. I was even sweating in this outfit. It’s crazy how hot it’s been outside. I’m thinking that our actual winter is going to be a real crap storm come March and April. Which I’m not a fan of. Guess I’ll just go to Portland, Austin and Pittsburgh in those months. Yay travel!
PS – the earrings that I have on below are my new favorite earrings. No one seems to like them. The only comment I keep receiving is “the backs of those earrings are really big…” Good job, sir, that they are.
{ Black Distressed Jeans for $64 from Inspyre Boutique – similar one, two and three | Black and White Crop Top from Pink’s for $25 – similar one and two | Earrings from Nasty Gal for $18 | Steve Madden Raspy Platform Bootie ON SALE for $100 | MZWallace Julie Cocoa Bedford bag }
Eeeeeeeek!! I got to wear a dress without tights in JANUARY. This is amazing. Dresses with boots is my jam. It felt like fall all over again. I seriously love this outfit so damn much. Maybe an engagement picture outfit?? I think Jackson is up for the engagement photo task. He’s a pretty good poser. And duh, he will be in pretty much all of them!
{ Military Jacket from Target for $40 – similar one, two and three | Grey Shift Dress from Pink’s for $40 – similar one, two and three | Turquoise Necklace from Inspyre Boutique for $18 – similar one, two and three | Boots from Modcloth now ON SALE for $20 | Earrings from Nasty Gal for $18 | Michael Kors Purse }
I’ve been eyeing earrings like that for a while. LOVE! I know I’d get the same response – oh well. Bring it on. I like big backs and I cannot lie.
I want to be happy for you for having warm weather, but my heart is about as bitter as the -13 degree air outside. Regardless, love the outfits! Maybe one day I’ll have the willpower to wear something besides jeans and a sweater. Today is not that day.
Loving that crop top outfit!! I feel I can’t rock them that well, but I think I will just take your advice and say f it and start wearing them. Thanks for the inspiration.
I have to second Zulilly, shipping takes a 1,000 years BUT it’s like Christmas, you buy the stuff, forget about it and bam! It shows up one day and totally surprises you. I bought the same (or something similar) to a pair of shoe’s that you have–the van type shoes that are leopard/leather. $20 and they were $60 retail. Even though wedding is really far off…check 6pm.com for swim suits. I bought 5 articles of Tommy Bahama swim wear for less than what I paid a few years ago for 2 pcs at Everything But Water. Often times they’ll have workout gear, most frequently I see Under Armour and Lucy (so cute!). Thanks for the inspirations!
