Happy Friday my little cupcake! How ya been? Whatcha been doing? Tell me everything. I’ve just been over here going to weddings (second one this summer, sadly only one more to go – which means I need to plan my own…crap). I just love going to weddings. You get to see two people who are deeply in love with each other, pick the things you don’t want to do for your own wedding, and eat, drink and dance. It’s all really fun. AND you get to dress up. I never have any other reasons to wear “fancy” dresses and weddings give me that excuse. This week we went to a wedding at the top of a hotel that had absolutely amazing views. And what was even cooler was that when the ceremony began, we were at the bottom of the hotel and the bride came flying down in an all glass elevator. It was such an awesome entrance. Only thing that sucked that night was a totally got gluten-ed. Something I ate messed me up real bad so dancing was ended early and pajamas were put on since my stomach bloated up. Damn gluten, you bastard.

Here’s the dress I wore to the most recent wedding I attended. I seriously LOVE it. It’s a great material that stretches but still keeps a great shape, it’s comfortable AND it’s only $55. It’s seriously such a steal!

It seriously won’t stop raining here in Colorado. This is probably the most rain I’ve seen in 10 years. Well, other than the flood last year. But you naaaah mean. This means I’ve had to pull my jackets back out and keep wearing jeans. I’m over jeans. Well ok, I’m lying, I love jeans. BUT, I’m wanting it to be that time where I can just throw a dress on and look like I actually tried. I just found these heels and I plan to wear them all summer long because they are so comfortable. I’m not very good with normal heels, but since these lock you in on the front, they’re really damn comfortable!

These next two outfits were comfy casual outfits. Farmer’s Market season has begun in Colorado, but it still hasn’t been warm enough to want to actually go to one. BUT I’m excited about finally being able to shop with my Farmer’s Market Tote by MZ Wallace and Provisions by Food52. And with every tote purchase, $50 will be donated to the Edible Schoolyard Project and the Founding Edible Schoolyards. Pretty awesome tote and really cool program they have going!

Summer is coming (someday, hopefully) which means cocktails during the day will soon occur. And when I have cocktails, my feet swell up almost instantly. So wearing sandals and flats in a must. Fitting my chubby, buzzed toes into heels is just painful. These flats are my new absolute favorite flats ever. Comfortable yet casual, but still look like I give a fuuuuudge.

ok not to be weird, but what brand/name is the nail polish you’re wearing on your toes in the picture with the white pants? I love it!

Love the outfits! What kind of drinks do you normally get when out/at weddings? I know no drinks are healthy but any recommendations on what tastes yummy and doesn’t totally destroy your diet?

    1. juli says:

usually vodka soda or gin and tonic

Love the last two outfits, especially love that navy tote and everything else in that outfit, although white jeans are dangerous for me! Also super cute dress for $50, amazing deal!

My only question is “Where in the world did you find any dry pavement in Denver?”

This is getting crazy, I could have sworn we lived in Denver and not Seattle. These three weeks have me second guessing that assumption.
