Happy Friday! I wish I had a funny April Fool’s joke, but I think April Fool’s is the dumbest holiday the government could have ever created. What were they thinking? Create a day for people to all f*ck with each other? No thank you. I have lunch with one of my bridesmans today and I know he is gonna do something messed up then throw his arms up and say APRIL FOOL’S! Hilarious, effing hilarious.
You know what else is hilarious? This stupid weather going on here in Colorado. One day it’s dumping snow, the next day it’s super sunny. I’m over it. Just ready to be in Jamaica at this point, in a swimsuit, with a cocktail, eating food that is cooked for me. I’m so excited for it. People keep asking if I’m excited for the wedding and all I can really be excited about right now is getting the hell away from Colorado and away from our house that seems to be falling apart. Anywho, let’s talk about some outfits! This was a simple night out outfit when we went to our friends house for dinner and drinks. I cannot get enough of these red Hunter boots! I plan on buying them in more colors because they are by far the best boots for snow here in Colorado. I have a ton of other brands and these work the best! I dug our house out of two feet of snow in these guys and had warm, dry feet after!

Of course, after dumping snow, the sunshine came back out and began to melt very quickly. What you can’t see in this pic is the 1 foot of snow still left behind. I shared these denim shirt last week but it’s totally a must! It’s so soft and is fitted so it doesn’t hang like a big potato sack. Keep in mind that I grabbed a pretty small size to keep it fitted! These slingback booties are last season but I linked a similar pair with a peep toe that would be perfect for spring!!

As the days warmed up, I got excited to pull some of my favorites out of my closet! Like this dress that I bought last season but is still available! It’s perfect for spring or fall, to wear with boots or booties and it comes in 10 different colors! I have it in blue and orange! Wear it to work, to run errands, or just out to happy hour with friends! The length is longer in the back so you never have to worry about this dress flying up in the wind!

Now this outfit gets me real excited about our wedding in Jamaica! If you have followed me for at least a year, you know that I have a really hard time with finding shorts. I have a small waist and thicker legs from lifting so finding the right stretch is challenging. These are the first pair of shorts that fit in the waist (didn’t have to alter them), fit in the legs, and are long enough because of the fray of the denim. I found them at a boutique in town but thanks to an amazing reader, I was able to find them online to link for you guys! And guess what? They are only $38!! I think I need to buy 20 more pairs!

We are getting married in Puerto Rico in a month, so I totally feel you on ready to be there and basking in the sun. My only thing I hate about vacation is having to leave my furchildren behind, it fills me with sadness the day before we leave.
I have a love/hate relationship with Hunter boots. I am obsessed with them, BUT my calves are too wide for them and thus no bueno. So much sadness.

Have you checked out the Huntress boots by Hunter? I have the same problem with the wider calves and these are a wider opening so they fit perfectly! Also, the short hunters are a wider calf opening. Just thought I’d share. 🙂

Be prepared – house things always happen in 3’s. Dun, dun, dun – and nope not April Fools just reality. Sometimes I decide to not participate in real life when shit hits the fan, napping is better even though it never solves the problem. Lastly, if you have to replace your fridge, do not, I repeat do not buy another Kenmore!!! Kenmore is the biggest pile of crap ever, sadly our kitchen is outfitted with Kenmore and I HATE every single appliance. Not one operates properly.
