I planned this entire outfit around this one wonderful skirt. It’s seriously perfection. It’s so comfortable, so flattering, and such a cool color. Oh, and it’s from a consignment shop is it’s over 50% off of it’s original price. Score!

A couple weeks back I went shopping with Liz of Mile High Style who is a personal stylist. I had never worked with a stylist before but I met her and we instantly clicked. She’s fantastic, perky, and loves her dogs even more than I love mine…if that’s possible. Anywho, I hadn’t ever worked with a stylist before, I honestly love trying to put outfits together and accessorize them, but I decided it would be a fun thing to try. Especially since she works out of Boulder so I would be able to head to the shops up north.

Our first stop in Boulder was absolutely wonderful. We stopped in at Common Threads, a consignment shop, to look for some good deals on new outfits. Right away she found this skirt for me. I wasn’t sure if it was shorts or a skirt, but I really didn’t care. It fit perfectly. And the color is like a puke green, but way cooler. Just gotta be careful what sunlight you stand in. It will be a wonderful outfit to pair with some black stockings and boots come fall!

Once I paired this skirt with an eversoscaryplunging tank with yellow and grey embellishments, all I had to do was accessorize with some white and gold jewelry, including my favorite new necklace from Inspyre Boutique and a pair of comfortable beige wedges. Boom. An outfit.

Oh…and some orangy-red lipstick too. How do people keep lipstick from coming off after 10 minutes? Makes no sense.

Oh, Hi! I’m Juli.

I’m a food hoarder. And a really bad dancer. If you don’t know me well, you will probably not understand my humor. Therefore, I apologize ahead of time. Thanks for listening to my ramblings of my ever-changing life and trusting my kitchen mishaps. Your trust in me is appreciated.

  1. Your skin is amazing! I remember when you used to have a breakdown over your acne. It must be wonderful to not have your feelings dictated by the condition of your skin.

I have bad eczema which there is no cure for unfortunately. 🙁 But I’m so happy for you!

  2. I always wear “clear” lipliner as a primer under any lipstick. Urban Decay’s Ozone is my favorite, but I’ve had good results with the one Milani makes too, which you can buy at the drugstore. Check out OCC Lip Tars (at Sephora) for lip color that lasts forever…there’s a learning curve but they’re amazing.

  3. OK…I usually just read your blog and don’t comment, but OMG how freakin’ adorable are you in the 3rd & 4th pics in this post!?! I love your wit, dig your style and think you are just too cute!!

  4. “Photography: Selfie” => Literal LOL!!

I look forward every week to Fashion Fridays!

Not that I didn’t totally love your blog before, but I’m loving all the changes. You’re doing you, and it’s awesome! 🙂

  5. Your smile makes me smile!!! You have the most genuine and happy and REAL smile !!! You look amazing in all the photos… your eyes are stunning.

I love the crop top with the white jeans too… your abs are killer! Keep up the great work. You inspire so many and let the ‘haters hate’… they’re probably jealous!

  6. Beautiful!! Feels appropriate to post my first comment today as today my copy of The Paleo Kitchen arrived – love it! And thank you for being so inspirational with all your posts on here.
    Paleo (+paleo treats) + CrossFit = happy body 🙂

  7. DAMN GIRL! You look awesome! I love the bold lipstick look, I am trying really hard to find a shade that works for me…And your eyebrow game is strong!
(absolutely love your blog please post forever)

  8. Look at you becoming quite the fashionista! LOVE IT and I 100% agree with the bright lipstick. I love to wear bright red and corral, but it freaking gets everywhere and sometimes ends up on my teeth…blah blah…who knows. Anyway, you look fabulous! XOXO

  9. JULI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You look so ‘effing phenomenal. I love this entire look and I would definitely wear it myself. I don’t wear lipstick much myself, but you get used to it. Eating apples with lipstick is the WORST. Sometimes I forget to wipe it off before I reach for my snack. :/

    Love the photography work, too!

    XO Alison

  10. Love your sense of style. Just picked up your book in Costco today. Love the recipes. I did not think they could be better than the ones on your blog. But I am wrong. The book is great. I love to bake gluten free. First up Vanilla White Peach Muffins. I hope it works with dried apricots. I could not find dried peaches.

    Thank you

  11. You are so gorgeous and so fun.

What a great inspiration you are to eat well and take care of the body to be smoking hot and healthy. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
