Oh laaaaawwwd Fashion Fridays is just the best. I think I say that every Friday. No wait, I totally say that every Friday. It’s just so fun! Doing these posts makes me try more of my clothes on that I have just sitting in my closet and makes me put outfits together that I never would have thought of in the first place! It’s just so much fun. And what makes it even more fun is that I have Bill and Hayley to take some pictures of me instead of me taking awkward selfies. It’s just way easier that way. I need to find someone unemployed at home to take pictures for me. Any takers? No. Thought so.

This outfit is what I wore on my way to Pittsburgh. Casual and comfortable for the flight. And white after Labor Day? F*ck yeah. When people say you can’t do something, I say f*ck it, I can do whatever I damn please. Then I do it! There are no rules in a life you create for yourself. Like that little impromptu pick-me-up I just gave ya there? Good.

This was an outfit I used for a photo shoot on a very special day. Since I’m working on a special project out here, there was one day that was one of the most important days of all so I got all dressed up! So fun. I bought this 3/4 sleeve sweater dress just last week at Pink’s Boutique for a winter dress to wear with stocking, but it was perfect weather out that day to wear without instead. Short little thing but the most comfy dress ever. It’s crazy soft! Someone said this dress was hideous. I told them to suck a d.

This outfit was a casual day. We had some grocery shopping to do to keep working on my project, so I just put on something comfy. And since I hadn’t washed my hair in prooooobably 4 days, I had to put it up in a messy bun. A real messy bun. Not the greatest hairstyle for me, but it’ll do when I don’t have a hat. Hats are one of the greatest inventions ever. Along with this camo jacket.

{ Black 3/4 length shirt from Inspyre Boutique for $30 | Lululemon French Terry Vinyasa Scarf for $58 | Jeans from Insypre Boutique for $50 by Flying Monkey Jeans  – similar Flying Monkey pairTarget Junior’s Camo Jacket for $40 | Tom’s Black Canvas Classics for $48 }

I don’t usually hang out by pools in Pittsburgh in the fall, but this trip I did! I mean, how can you not hang out next to a gorgeous pool in leather pants? It would make no sense if you didn’t. In reality, I was sweating everywhere. It was intense.

Riveting Rendition Blazer from Modcloth for $60 – now sold out which is the lamest, so here is a sweet one | Miranda Frye Solar Necklace for $76.00 | Trouve Faux Leather Front Leggings for $45 from Nordstrom (similar pair here) | Suede Pointed Heels from Lulu’s for $27 – here is a similar pair}

See you next Friday!

Oh, Hi! I’m Juli.

I’m a food hoarder. And a really bad dancer. If you don’t know me well, you will probably not understand my humor. Therefore, I apologize ahead of time. Thanks for listening to my ramblings of my ever-changing life and trusting my kitchen mishaps. Your trust in me is appreciated.

  1. Love your style! I have an almost identical outfit to the one in the 7th photo down (cuffed jeans, Toms, army green anorak & scarf)!

  2. I’m sure you have heard of this before ( and not exactly sure how you go about or what’s involved in getting approved – probably based on followers which you have tonnnssss so I’m sure others would dig your style too! Here’s the corp company to ( and there’s a link to apply. You should do it..that is all 🙂

      1. You def should! I love it and follow way too many people already, but its refreshing that you shop from affordable places like Francesca’s and Lulus. It’s the pits when you click on a liketoknowit email and they are wearing all designer, million dollar price tag items!! Poor girls like to rock fashionable looks too man! 🙂

        1. Agreed! That’s why I haven’t done it, I don’t buy many expensive things so I didn’t know if the like to know it did more adorable companies

  3. That dress is NOT hideous. Glad you told that person what they could shove in their ignorant mouth.
The camo is cute, but I can’t do it. Being active duty Air Force I have to wear it EVERY. DAMN. DAY. Wearing it as part of my civilian/fun wardrobe might make me vomit. But you pull it off well!

  4. Gahhh I am in LOVE with the shoes in the last outfit.
That Vinyasa scarf is so amazingly pretty on you!! Perfect colors 🙂

  5. Juli these outfits are AMAZING!!! So jealous! Cannot wait to hear about your project. I know it involves food but I also hope it involves your outfits in some way because they are insanely cool. 🙂

  6. I absolutely agree, I love white all year round so forget all the other rule abiding fashionistas out there! And the grey sweater dress is beautiful! I love doing fashion posts for the blog, because as you said it really pulls my closet into a whole new direction. Love the pictures!

  7. Totally digging those leather pants…I definitely want something similar, but have to wait until the temperatures cool down here in Texas. I like how yours aren’t fully leather…I think the breakup in the material actually makes it more flattering. Wahoo to Fashion Fridays!

  8. Leather pants are so damn hot. Last time I wore some, I sweat from places that I didn’t even know could sweat. Love that look on you though, especially with that legit blazer!

  9. Adorable, adorable!

BTW — My head explodes when I hear that people take the time to comment that they think something is ugly. Who ARE these people? It’s the oddest thing I’ve ever heard.

  10. You look gorgeous! And you always have the most amazing shoes. Someone else mentioned this but I love how you give links to certain pieces and they’re actually affordable! I definitely need to expand my wardrobe and your fashion Friday posts are giving me great ideas 🙂

  11. So I love your food and workout posts, but these Fashion Friday posts are SO AWESOME! When I read them, I think: I want to be friends with Juli! And I also think: anyone who comments that a dress is a shirt is the WORST! Happy Friday.

  12. I’m curious when you’re testing out recipes in Pittsburg (especially baked goods), do you have to do high altitude adjustments when you get back to Denver? I’m in Colorado too and live at 6500′. Just curious if you’ve noticed differences in the results. I realize this comment has nothing to do with fashion, but I didn’t know where else to leave it 🙂

  13. Dude, so jealous, you’re one of those people whose hair looks amazing up or down.

When I throw my hair up, it looks so tight and fussy that I feel like a nun, or a old time school marm, ew.

  14. Oh man, I love scarf season, and it looks like you do, too! And I’m definitely going to have to stop at Target next time I’m near one and check out a few of the things you’ve listed here 🙂

Also, I love that you’re wearing stuff that normal people can afford. Good to know I don’t need to spend $200 on jeans to get that look in the second set of photos!

  15. I love your hair in a messy bun, I think it looks gorgeous! Also I think jackson should be a part of fashion friday in the future 🙂

  16. Hey! I agree…Fashion Friday’s are the best. (As I stuff my face with pumpkin bars from the other day. Also the best.)

Question–what lipstick are you wearing in this set? Such a great berry shade and I’m trying to re-vamp my fall makeup stash and you’re inspiring me!

  17. i have a love hair relationship with fashion fridays, love all the pictures you post, hate it because not all the items are available in Canada! except lulu of course 🙂

  18. LOVE the casual outfit. Those jeans just fit you like a glove, the top is comfy and flattering, and the scarf pops it out.

  19. Amazing outfits as always! I’m super jealous of your eye makeup too – Hayley is so incredibly talented! And I seriously need a countdown of days until you reveal what PW is about because I can’t stand it any longer, your teasers look so incredible! I keep going back and forth between a cookbook and a TV show… both would be amazing!

  20. You look beautiful as usual! I love your hair up in a messy bun. You look beautiful both ways…up or down….but I love it up! 🙂

  21. Ok so I am pretty sure you could make a potato sack look A-mazing! Seriously! Love the fashion Friday pics and style. Random question – have to ask…do you get your eyelashes done????? They are fabulous!

    1. no, in all those picture I have falsies on! all my friends who have had eyelash extensions done have regretted it so i haven’t done it. i like mine just fine, but falsies look way better in pictures haha!

  22. I’m so glad you’re on board with loose-fitting tops. It is so necessary during this time of year when it feels like I am carrying a constant food baby because I can’t stop cooking and my bikinis are retired for the season. Also, for real how sweaty are the leather pants? They are SO cute but all I can think about is swamp ass. Gross but real. So very real. Maybe because I live in North Carolina where it’s still basically summer.

  23. Absolutely in love with these outfits! My favorite is the lulu scarf + toms + jeans + camo jacket. Hello genius idea putting those together. 🙂

  24. The last outfit is my fave, but I could see how leather pants, faux or not, could be a sweat-fest. I also love the dress!
