Flowy Skirts, Tucked Skirts, and a Pineapple!

Through the years, my weight has gone up and down, but a look that never fails me is an adorable top tucked into a high waisted skirt. That look was something I could always turn to whenever I had an event or special occasion and wasn’t sure what to wear. And when I put that look on, I instantly felt more comfortable in my skin. It’s so figure-flattering, it gives the body a beautiful shape, and it always gives me instant confidence.

So when I found this magenta pleated skirt from ModCloth, I knew I needed to add it to my wardrobe. I’ve never purchased a pleated skirt before and I’ve seen some of my favorite fashion bloggers looking stunning in theirs, so when I saw this one, it was instant attraction. This midi skirt comes in so many sizes from XXS to 4X so all shapes and sizes can wear this skirt and feel amazing in it. But ModCloth has a ton of flowy skirts to choose from, many that are perfect for tucking a feminine top into! Flowy High Waisted Skirts

And with any high waisted skirt, you need the cutest top that’s perfect for tucking! Ruffles have been pretty in lately and I love the detailing it gives to an outfit! This high neck ruffle top would be adorable with a pair of comfy jeans and sandals since it doesn’t cling to the body, but I loved how it looked when tucked into my pleated skirt! It looks like it would be a bit see through, but I had no issue with that while wearing a nude colored bra!

My job doesn’t consist of having to dress up for this office, but I think this sort of look is something I would want to sport while heading to work. But if showing a little arm wasn’t part of protocol, this long sleeve high neck top would look adorable with this on sale a-line white skirt! And it’s the perfect way to not get bored with your normal office attire!

But wait, we have to talk accessories! Because how can you not talk about this pineapple purse?! How stinkin’ cool is this bag?! It has paradise written all over it so it’s pretty much the best thing you could take with you to work to remind you of the vacation that lies ahead someday! For me, finding a look that made me feel confident no matter what size I was, was truly key to being a happier person. And when I could find that look that made me feel amazing, I wore it regularly. That’s what is so cool about fashion – it can change around your whole outlook. So if a look doesn’t make you feel amazing, move onto the next. Find what makes you feel your best because you deserve it. For me, tucking in a top, finding a high waist, and twirling in a bight colored skirt makes me feel feminine and sexy, so I’ll continue to look for that type of look whenever I’m shopping! It’s all about finding what looks best for your shape and truly feeling amazing in it!
