Things have been a bit crazy over here in the PaleOMG household. We’ve been dealing with some health scares from our little French Bulldog and I’ve been quite a mess as we really figure everything out. But as we all know, time never tops, no matter what is going on. And since it’s December, the show must go on. In the midst of this chaos, we still ended up getting a Christmas tree, we decorated it, and we even snagged a few presents that should be showing up in a couple days!

And you know where I made that order? Backcountry, of course! After teaming up with Backcountry a couple times on the blog this year, it has become one of my favorite places to shop. Especially since they have free 2-day shipping on all orders over $50 across the country, which means you can get your gifts (for yourself, or others…no judgement here) in no time flat. I’m talking to you, Mr. Procrastinator. If you’re anything like me, you’ll probably wait until the very last second to order gifts. But if your order is with Backcountry, you’ll have those gifts right away!

Before this year, Backcountry wasn’t really on my radar when it came to stylish clothes. I always saw the website as a place for people who were constantly outdoors; going camping, fishing, hiking, etc. I never saw it as a go-to website for people who just simply want to look cute while outdoors. Aka me. I could care less about functionality. I just want to look good, feel good, and be warm as can be throughout the winter months. So once I started looking deeper into Backcountry, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had some of my favorite high-end gear like Sorel, Ugg, PatagoniaAlo Yoga, Frye, Free People and even Ray Ban!

I built this entire winter look through shopping on Backcountry! I first found my absolute favorite Alo Yoga Moto Leggings. I have these leggings in navy and love them so much for working out or for a Sunday coffee date. But if navy or black aren’t your colors, they also come in white (you bold b, you!!), slate and anthracite…whatever that color is. Let’s call it a lighter-ish grey. Heavy on the ish.

And when it came to my footwear, I knew I wanted another pair of my favorite Sorel Joan of Arctic Wedge Boots. I bought these exact boots from Backcountry a couple months ago and loved them so much that I decided to add the Ash Brown color to my wardrobe! These boots are so comfortable, so easy to walk in, and I think they are the perfect stylish boot in the winter. But if you’re looking for an even more trendy boot, the Sorel Joan of Arctic Wedge Shearling Boot will keep your feet extra toasty while you get compliment after compliment from people on the street.

Then I pulled the whole look together with some Colorado staples – a Patagonia Quilted Pullover and a super warm Backcountry 750 Down Jacket. If you live in Colorado, you most likely have some sort of Patagonia in your closet. I’ve owned a handful of Patagonia jackets, but this is my first base layer and I absolutely love it. It’s soft, warm, and it stays in place no matter how long you sit at brunch with friends. No creasing in this thing! And I added a little flare to this winter look with this most adorable Frye Addie Hat. No sun rays are getting to this newly lasered forehead, even in the wintertime!

If you thought Backcountry was only for snowboarders, skiers and mountain bikers, I’m here to show you that there is SO much more to find on their website. Which is why they are so great when it comes to holiday shopping for your friends and family. You can dress your girlfriend in a stylish coat, find camping gear for your dad, snow boots for your niece and the best yoga mat ever for your mom. No matter if you have outdoor enthusiasts in your life or not, Backcountry will have something for everyone!

And something that makes shopping with Backcountry is that they have partnered with The Nature Conservancy since 2008 to support its mission of protecting our lands and waters. Because Backcountry wants you to get outdoors! Whether you’re a weather snob like me and only like to be outside in the perfect conditions with the cutest wedge boots OR you’re like everyone else in Colorado that wants to be outside at all times of the year no matter what…Backcountry is supporting you in all aspects. From what you wear to where you walk.

If you haven’t shopped at Backcountry, right now is the best time to get all your holiday shopping done in one place! And one of the things I love most about Backcountry, (other than the free 2-day shipping, duh) is their amazing customer service. I had an issue with my hat on my first purchase, so I called in and was talking to a real human being in seconds and had everything settled in under a minute. It was so damn easy! Their customer service team is available 24/7 via chat, email and phone which will be oh so helpful as the holidays near and things get a bit frantic. I know things are hella frantic here and not having to sit on the phone forever is a total lifesaver! Hi Juli!

This is totally unrelated, but I needed to reach out to tell you I got my new Four Athletics gear in the mail the other day…I basically feel like I can move out of my apartment to take up residence in that AMAZING hoodie. Holy crap. It’s so perfect for when NYC gets freezing. I also got the black leggings, and love those, too-I feel like I can even sneak them in as actual pants in addition to working out in them, haha. Thank you again for more amazing athletic wear. You’re really onto something here!

Also, I’ve been following along super closely with Jackson. You are an incredible dog-mom, and I’m sending all of the love and good, healing vibes I have. Hoping today is the day Jackson makes a real turnaround…and if not today, then tomorrow.

    You’re the best!
