Goodbye Skinny Jeans, Hello Vegan Leather

I’ve talked about this on social media a few times and on my blog…so if you follow along regularly, you must be bored AF with my concept of ditching skinny jeans. But I’m going to annoy you once more and say it again – skinny jeans are DONE. Sure, I’ll wear a pair once in a while that I know won’t let me down because they are made from some sort of magical elastic that lets my legs breathe no matter how they change in size month-to-month, but other than that, I’m over them. I want pants that make me feel confident, comfortable, and like a woman. And sometimes, I feel weirdly childish in skinny jeans. Like I’m not dressing my age or dressing for my body type. We’ve had a solid few years of skinny jeans, but the trend is changing and I LOVE it.

I recently bought these super high waisted vegan leather cropped pants and I was really nervous about putting them on. Too often when I purchase cropped pants, they fit too tight around the hips then they are far too wide around the calf, making my legs look much shorter than they are. I’m 5’7 and still trying to look at least 6′ as often as possible, so that look never worked for me no matter how hard I tried. But these cropped pants are slimming, they are insanely comfortable, and they change up my pants routine. And one of the best parts is that they are lined with a soft material inside so they are easy to slide on, unlike many faux leather pants, and they keep you warm instead of freezing on your skin the moment you step outside. I shared my favorite flare jeans recently, but how about we mix things up even more with some cropped pants that don’t make us feel like we are suffocating? The older I get, the less fucks I have to give, and sometimes those fucks include leggings that make me feel trapped and uncomfortable. My skinny jeans fucks are gone. This analogy is hard to get through, but you know what I mean. Life is pretty damn short and how mad would you be if tomorrow was your last day and you wore uncomfortable jeans the entire day before. Think about that for a second…then come back out of that dark hole. Sorry about that. Goodbye, skinny jeans. You had your day, now it’s time to have mine!
