Having the opportunity to work with cool companies is such an exciting and cool part of my job. I’m constantly introduced to new companies that are pursuing their dreams, committing to their goals and changing lives along the way. I was recently introduced to Cotopaxi and was thrilled to find out this company not only produces fantastic outdoor quality clothing and gear, but has also set out to make the world a better place.
Colorado has been my home since I was born and I don’t plan on leaving any time soon. But since I hate the cold and all things that involve being cold, I’ve invested in many MANY coats and jackets over the years. My first large purchase I ever really invested in was a jacket. I had never wanted to spend much money on one because I thought it would go out of style and it would be a waste of money, but turns out, I still have that jacket, after 9 years. Because if you get a jacket or a coat that you love and that’s good quality, you’ll have it for years and love it for years. Cotopaxi is exactly that. It has jackets, coats and other outdoor gear that are extremely amazing quality, that you’ll have for years and love for even longer.
This Fuego Down Jacket gives me life!! It is lightweight, comfortable and goes with any outfit! My first down jacket purchase was a black jacket as well, but this thinner version keeps you warm without weighing you down. And it also comes in 2 other colors that you can’t find anywhere else! That’s one of the cool parts about Cotopaxi – they use beautiful colors and vibrant shades to make whatever jacket you are wearing way more fun than any of the other jackets you own! I took mine for a stroll in Georgetown, wandering the tiny little town and chowing down on some amazing Mexican food!
If you’re looking for a jacket that’s comfortable in cooler temperatures but extra warm when the temperature drops, this goose down, water-resistant jacket is the one for you! I can’t say enough about it! But I can say I’ll definitely be wearing this all weekend while I watch my brother-in-law play football. And you know how much I love football and the cold…so this jacket is really keeping my life together!
But now let’s talk about a COMPLETELY different look that Cotopaxi has to offer. This Bengal Waxed Canvas Jacket can be taken from trail to downtown and looks adorable no matter what. I obviously won’t be taking it on a trail, because walking uphill on rough terrain is my nightmare, but you can get me to the mountains if Mexican food is offered. This quilted jacket in a unique mustard color makes a statement and keeps the wind at bay whenever you are bundled up in it! I personally love mustard yellow but was still a bit hesitant about the jacket…until I tried it on. I absolutely love it and cannot wait to have a bright colored option throughout the winter months!

Juli, do the hunter boots keep your feet warm in snow?
if you are walking through snow, i recommend these inserts! they keep your feet nice and toasty! http://rstyle.me/n/b5e539bq557
Hey Juli! How warm is the mustard colored jacket? Would it be warm enough for winter (20s-40s) with a shirt and a sweater underneath it? Thanks!
hey alyssa! i honestly haven’t been in that kind of weather in that jacket yet, so i can’t say. but there are A TON of reviews on their site of that jacket so definitely check those out!
As cute as both those jackets are (especially the yellow), may I ask where you found the rest of your first outfit pictured? Particularly, the black and white plaid button down shirt and ripped gray jeans. They are both SO cute, and I can’t get enough of your style. Thanks in advance!
those exact jeans are sold old sadly, but here is a similar pair in the same brand: http://rstyle.me/n/b887qwbq557
