I think athleisure looks have taken over my wardrobe lately. It’s my favorite way to stay feeling like I’m put together while being 100% completely comfortable. Just the other day, I wore an athleisure look to the airport and couldn’t have been happier with that choice. It’s pretty much like you’re wearing pajamas to the airport without the hotmessofahumanbeing look. And this look below is an athleisure look that you could wear to the airport, or while grocery shopping, or running errands, or taking your kids to the park, or having lunch with a friend.

When I found these striped leggings, I immediately wanted them because they are probably the softest leggings out there! The interlock seams and 4-way stretch throughout keep your legs comfortable and don’t rub or irritate, no matter what activity you have planned. Once I snagged these leggings, I wore them to the gym, out running errands, then all night while watching tv. I didn’t want to take them off! And they are reversible, as well!!

Leggings I’m Loving Right Now!

PaleOMG Leather and Leggings

I shared these sneakers a couple weeks ago but I had to bring them back because I’m loving them! A part of me never wants sneakers again that don’t have a strap on top. Because now, no matter what I’m doing in the gym or where I’m out rushing my butt off, I never have to worry about my shoe laces coming untied! So I linked a few more that have the strap on top or that are just so incredibly comfortable, that you’ll want to wear them every single day!

Now wait, we have to talk about my favorite piece of this whole outfit: the pullover. This Nike pullover (which is now 40% off!) it a tech fleece pullover that comes in 3 different colors (black and coral), is super long so it covers your bum, and is the coziest pullover you’ll own! I don’t have any pullovers this length and I love it! The straight lines of the pullover keep you looking polished, no matter what life throws at you. After going to a show until 3am one night, I wore this outfit the next day when I had to coach and act like I had my life together and it actually made me feel that way! Sometimes it’s all about the facade!

I’m also interested in the size/fit- but of the Nike pullover! How much room do you have in the shoulders? I’m usually a 6, but find that unless a top is stretchy, the shoulders are tiiiiight. Thanks! Love all your posts, Juli.

    1. juli says:

i got it in a size XS and have plenty of room in the shoulders

Athleisure looks have taken over my wardrobe as well… I often run errands in the afternoon before taking my son to the playground, so want to look put together but comfortable. Agree it’s also great for travel especially long flights (I hate wearing jeans on long flights). Thanks for the ideas.

Seriously Juli, how come pretty much everything you wear looks so much better on you than the website models? I mean look at the Nike sweater, looks great on you, not so great on the model. I believe someone said it before, you should be a clothes model!!!

Haha, my look is “new mom” but I would rather call it athleisure!!! I totally wear leggings, a nursing tank, and a long sleeve top all day. When I want to go out in public, I throw on a blanket scarf and earrings and pretend like I got dressed.

How about some insulated leggings ideas? I live in CT and we (supposedly) get cold weather in the winter, I know you do in CO as well. I have some Reebok leggings that have a little fleecy layer inside that I love – they’re comfy to wear inside the house, but I can wear them outside hiking or taking care of the horses, and they’re great for going out in public too. LL Bean makes an awesome pair of leggings in Polartec Powerstretch that are warmer and super stretchy, just like sweats. Have any more ideas? It sounds like your gym gets pretty cold, I bet you could rock the insulated leggings!

try lululemon! i have a pair of fleece leggings from there and love them!

I’ve been on the market for a faux leather jacket for a while now. I found a great one on sale at Anthropologie but it was too small. I think I’m gonna give this one a go!

it’s the best! and won’t break the bank!

Hi Juli! I LOVE leggings to work out in during the cold months, but feel a little awkward outside of the gym if my shirt/pullover/etc. isn’t covering my bum. Is this just me? What are your thoughts?

    1. juli says:

i don’t personally feel weird about that, honestly. but i wear leggings almost every day of my life so my butt is showing at all times of the day
