I don’t know many people who can’t get behind a good pair of comfortable jeans. Man or woman. It’s something about jeans fitting just right that makes you walk with a bit more of a strut. But finding the perfect pair of jeans can be challenging…and expensive. Years ago, I thought my only option was expensive jeans that I had to spend even more money on getting them altered. But the more I shopped and the more chances I took with different brands, the more I found jeans that are stretchy, comfortable and pretty dang affordable so I’m here to share with you all my favorites!

PaleOMG My Favorite Jeans - Under $65!

I’m about 5’7 and my jean size has begun to move between a 26 and 27 but all these jeans I’m listing below are a size 26, just for reference! These Articles of Society mid rise skinny jeans run a bit longer so I was able to roll them up twice. I love when jeans come in a cropped, shorter length, but for some reason, I really love the rolled look. It just catches the eye in a different way and gives the look just a little different dimension. These are ultra stretchy, long (which is great if you’re a bit taller) and soft jeans that are great for wearing with booties or booties this winter! And if you have a muscular butt and/or legs, you won’t have any issue with gap between your back and the jeans! These fit snug as a bug in a rug! I ended up tucking in this super comfortable off the shoulder sweater in the from to show off more of the jeans!

These mid rise Articles of Society black wash distressed jeans run a bit shorter than my last pair and give you a bit more of an edgy look with the few tears in them. I personally love the distressed look: you can still show off a little bit of skin while covering up in the cold months. I only rolled these jeans once and kept my sweater hanging off one shoulder with a pop of color in my neon earrings! These jeans will be great for wearing an all black outfit or even going more casual in the spring months in some flip flops and a tee!

But I think this is my favorite look of all three! These mid rise Articles of Society grey wash crop jeans are actually the jeans I packed with me for book tour so I’ve worn them almost every other day! They have a darker wash on the bottom and are cropped so they don’t have the hemmed look! I paired the whole outfit with a giant blanket scarf (my love) and an easy crossbody purse and ended up tucking them into these comfortable booties that come in 8 different colors (if you snag these, be sure to grab them in a 1/2 size bigger, they run a bit small!).

I have those first darker wash ones, and they are honestly the softest jeans I’ve ever owned, I LOVE them! I did get another pair in a lighter wash that aren’t as stretchy and they are pretty uncomfortable, so will be sticking with the stretchy ones. 🙂

I love these jeans. Nordstrom always has good picks, especially for Fall!

In other news: Please start a podcast! I think it would be hilarious to have you and a friend on a podcast talking about life, the bachelor, workouts or anything that excites you. If you think about it, whatever you enjoy talking about, your long-time readers will probably enjoy listening to 🙂

Yes, please start a podcast! Saw your snap last night and you would be GREAT doing one! I usually listen to podcasts while I’m working out but may not be able to do that with yours because I have a feeling there would be a lot of laughing involved, but I can still listen in my car 🙂

    Hey Juli,
Can you link the black tote from the second outfit? Great jeans!
    Thanks!

Always look forward to your fashion Friday posts! Would love it if you would also tell us the details of your makeup in these posts. Like what color of lipstick are you wearing and what nail color? Love them both!!

  6. Michelle says:

I purchased the first pair of jeans after you blogged about them earlier in the summer – they are one of my most comfortable pairs I own. I was just like you thinking higher doller meant better fitting – these prove that all wrong! Love all the fashion ideas & details you post – keep it up!

Love those black jeans! Your Fashion Friday posts are my favorite, but they really cost me sometimes lol.

I’m bummed I didn’t get to see you while you were in KC. I passed out giving blood and my husband had to come get me… Embarrassing!

oh no!! i’m sorry that happened, that totally sucks!

    Hi Juli,

I follow your snaps and wanted to recommend something for Jackson (if you haven’t tried them already)! A trainer and friend of ours recommended Bully Sticks for our dog when he was a puppy and he still goes nuts for them! Plus they’re all natural and won’t clog or hurt their intestines. The only thing is that they smell like ass. They’re expensive in pet stores but Amazon has them at an affordable price!

    1. juli says:

i totally wish i could give him those but he tends to choke on them 🙁

I just came to the realization that it is time to stop following this blog in my Feedly account. “Jeans under $65”!?!?! I guess I’m not your intended audience because I’m more the “can I really justify spending $20 on jeans for myself when I need to feed my kids” sort of person and really, the last time I stepped into a Nordstrom’s was to use their restroom. I understand that you make money off of these sorts of posts, but you’re alienating a side of society who is just trying to “make it by” while eating healthy….

    1. juli says:

i’m not alienating anyone. you could say i’m alienating people by telling them to eat healthier food which is more expensive. YOU are taking it that way. i’m not going out buying a purse that costs $1000 and talking about it on my blog, but it doesn’t upset me when others do. i was WAY below the poverty line at one point, just a few years ago, but I wasn’t leaving unhappy comments on blogs because of my financial situation. we project our insecurities onto others. instead, be happy that you have children to feed and a family to take care of.

    2. Laurie says:

Then maybe you should stick to the hundreds of free recipes that are posted on this blog that you are in no way required to follow.

    3. Laura says:

Hey I see both sides of this comment. I think Juli is hitting a pretty middle-of-the-road price point with her <$65 post here, because if you cruise most name-brand shopping venues you will find very few choices less than that. However, I get the limited budget thing – right now my go-to jeans – the ONLY pair that fit me -I purchased at my local wholesale club for about $17. I would not spend as much as Juli does on most items of clothing, I just feel like I have more important places to put my money. But I still enjoy seeing how she styles herself, and I get some ideas. If nothing else, you could see that she is styling the same sweater three different ways in these pictures – that's pretty cool I think. You don't have to buy the same accessories that she has to benefit from the example of using the same piece for a variety of looks. I'm pretty sure Juli does not expect us all to be mindless clones just buying things because she gives us a link! Now that would be scary!!! So, if you can get some inspiration, great, or else just ignore the fashion and read the recipes. They're free!

I wish there was a “like” button for your comments Juli…I guess if you spend more than $20 on jeans then you can’t talk about it or it will offend or “alienate” someone, really? So you can only talk about the things that AK wants to hear about? When did this world become about pleasing EVERYONE and having to worry about offending 1 person or “side of society”…if a certain “side of society” doesn’t want to read your blog they don’t have to, just stop opening the page…it’s really very simple.

No one is making anyone read anything on the internet and there is no need for the woe-is-me, rude comments just stop reading…unbelievable! Sorry, had to say something…you rock Juli 🙂
