I’m not a huge supplement person. Mostly because I still have PTSD from when I was a kid and my throat swelled up so bad for a month to the point that I could barely swallow water, let alone the daily medication I had to take. Even the thought of swallowing big pills these days creeps me out. Sooooo I just don’t take them. I’ll give it my best shot for a few months then I slowly give up because I hate the routine SO FREAKING MUCH! But a new routine I can get behind is drinking one of my supplements. That just means I get even more water in while I’m nourishing and supporting my body at the same time. And a new supplement I just started adding in my nightly routine is the Ned Mellö Magnesium! I’ve used Ned Hemp Oil for years now, but they just recently released their Mellö Magnesium and it may be my favorite product of theirs to date!

If you’re new to magnesium, meaning you don’t really even know all the benefits, well you’re not alone. I used to take a magnesium drink at night back in the day because it cleared me out reallll quick, but I never actually knew the true importance of magnesium. Magnesium helps support over 300 functions throughout the body and most Americans are deficient in it. Those deficiencies can lead to mood disorders, sleep issues, muscle cramps, and even hinder us from absorbing essential vitamins and minerals. What a bummer. But when you walk into the store to grab some magnesium so you’re not part of the population that is deficient, well then you’re met with what feels like HUNDREDS of different types of magnesium supplements…so how the hell are we supposed to know which one is best? I sure AF don’t have time to spend my entire day researching through articles that have different opinions to hopefully find the opinion that resonates most with me. Luckily Ned has done the research for you so you can sit back, sip, and enjoy your body functioning properly!

Ned Mellö Magnesium uses three of the most absorbable forms of magnesium so you can actually absorb the supplement you’re taking and reap the benefits. In Ned Mellö Magnesium, you’ll find Magnesium Lactate Gluconate, Magtein® Magnesium L-threonate, and Aquamin Magnesium Citrate. It also has 2 amino acids to help with cognitive function, immune function, and relaxation; and 72 trace minerals which help with synthesizing hormones, metabolizing food, regulating blood sugar levels, building bone and cartilage, preventing tooth decay, wound healing, immunity and every other major function in your body. Holy shit. That’s a lot. So let’s recap because this is a lot of information and my brain obviously needs more magnesium before I can really take this all in – Ned Mellö Magnesium is going to not only support your brain, your mood, your sleep, your muscles, but it will also help support absorbing your other vital vitamins and minerals. All this means is your body is going to function more properly so you can feel better every day moving forward.

And my favorite part about Ned Mellö Magnesium is that all you have to do is mix it with water. No giant pills that get stuck in your throat. You just mix it with 8-10 ounces of water, mix, and drink up. They have two flavors to choose from – Lavenderberry & Naked. Both flavors are tasty, I just prefer the Naked flavor because it tastes like a cream soda to me. Every night before bed now, I mix up a packet of Mellö with water as my new nightly routine. Not only does it help me get even more water in, but it helps calm the body before bed. I’ve been using it for about a month now and I’ve really loved it. One of my many goals in life is become a healthier version of myself. I want to be more aware, more present, more thoughtful, more engaged, happier, more energized…and I know taking this supplement on a regular basis will help get me there. I’m excited to have a supplement I can stick with instead of buying a ton of pills that will end up sitting on a shelf for years.

Oh, Hi! I’m Juli.

I’m a food hoarder. And a really bad dancer. If you don’t know me well, you will probably not understand my humor. Therefore, I apologize ahead of time. Thanks for listening to my ramblings of my ever-changing life and trusting my kitchen mishaps. Your trust in me is appreciated.

  1. Loved this post-thanks for sharing! I just think it’s important to note that magnesium can be really dangerous for SOME people (people taking medications for hypertension, taking diuretics, etc). Always a good idea to check out interactions before taking a supplement! I’m not a medical professional, just someone who takes medications that magnesium may affect negatively.
