PaleOMG Fashion: San Diego/La Jolla Vacation Outfits

Happy Friday! I’m over here trying to get this post done but I keep getting distracted by online swimsuit shopping. Our one year anniversary trip to Costa Rica is coming up so I have beach, plantains, and bikinis on the the mind! Especially since we just got back from San Diego, where we were just teased with little glimpses of sunshine beach frolicking. We did get some surfing done though, even with the water being only 59 degrees. Wet suits are everything. Anywho, I’ll be doing a post all about our trip to La Jolla and San Diego next week, with all of our hotels, excursions, and restaurants, to hopefully help you plan your own trip in the future!

In the meantime, let’s chat about all the outfits I wore while on this trip! Before we left for San Diego, I wanted to give myself a little bit of color since I knew I would be wearing dresses and shorts…and hopefully a swimsuit if the weather was kind to us. So I headed to Glamour Bar Denver to get a spray tan. I’ve seen a bunch of people post about them and I’m so glad I went because my spray tan was AWESOME! I was so obsessed with it! You’ll see it slow fade as each day going on because we were in wet suits one day while kayaking and another day while surfing. But it was the most even and prettiest spray tan I’ve ever gotten. It makes me so excited about summer! I always get questions about spray tans so I thought I would mention it in case you’re in the Denver area! Love this place!

But back to outfits – this tee comes in 3 different colors and is ultra soft! It’s super comfortable and looks great tucked in or out! I paired it with my favorite affordable crop jeans and THE MOST comfortable slip-on sneakers you will ever own. No joke. I’m obsessed. I wore these slip-ons all over California and walked many, many miles in them! Seriously like walking on clouds!

I wore this dress while wandering around La Jolla. When we were there, we found out that a friend had rented a beach house for his whole family, so we decided to walk there and look at all the homes in the meantime. I’m so glad I bought this dress because I LOVE it! It comes in 6 different colors and fits like a glove! And it looks good dress up with a pair of cute wedges or dressed down with sneakers!

This dress makes me SO excited for summer and even for Costa Rica! I wore it when we went to a fancy little restaurant right on the beach. When we looked at a map, we noticed that it was less than 2 miles ago, so we said hell with it and walked there. Then it wasn’t quite open yet so we walked about 1/2 miles to more bars. Not the best idea with new wedges but I made it! And a dirty martini helped. Plus a cab ride home. I use as hell wasn’t walking that again…until the next day…and next day.

Before we went surfing, I had the best short rib hash of my life and then did a little shopping a lululemon. So this activewear look was perfect for staying comfy the whole 6+ miles we walked that day. No really, we got lost and probably walked way more than that. But I was comfortable the whole time! These leggings come in 4 different colors and have the cutest cutouts on the sides. And they are crazy comfortable! I just need to buy them in black because I’ve been thinking about it for weeks now.

Who doesn’t love a little cold shoulder look this year?! This dress comes in 5 different colors and it super soft! And this woven clutch comes in 4 different colors including navy, black and cream! I love the pop of color while heading into summertime!

Last but not least, I wore this look while wandering Balboa Park in San Diego! That park is seriously so beautiful! I kind of wish we would have gone to the zoo, but I was SO tired from all the walking, I don’t think I could have done it. I wore my favorite sneakers the last day (which are 25% off right now!!) with a comfy pair of slouchy jean shorts and a long sleeve top since the weather was pretty dreary that day.
