Something I try to share regularly on the blog through my Weekly Workouts posts is my continually changing fitness routine. I’ve gone from competing in CrossFit, to running, to spinning, to yoga, to glute workouts, and even pilates. And those changes often occur because I will reevaluate where I am at that point in my life. Sometimes I may be interested in increasing my strength, other times I may focus on my endurance, and sometimes I just want to feel good when I leave the gym. But no matter what point I’m at in my life, I’m always staying active.
And you know what I’ve figured out? Right now the most important thing in my life and for my goals is HAPPINESS!
In the past I’ve concentrated on gaining weight or losing weight, being stronger or looking more cut, and now I’ve left behind any of those feelings. Instead of worrying about what may be on the scale or any dimple that may show when I’m on the beach, I’m simply worrying about where I’m going to have the best meal while I’m traveling and how many desserts and fun cocktails I can try in between. Because right now I have the opportunity to travel and go to places I may never get back to. And I’m sure as hell not saying no to any flourless chocolate cake or spicy margarita that comes my way throughout those travels.
This is a very new feeling to me. I’ve never felt simply comfortable in my skin knowing I’m not being as strict with my diet. And I’m sure others out there can relate. But after reevaluating where I am at this point in my life, I’ve come to appreciate the moments I will never get back. And I know I will never regret a flourless chocolate cake with my best friend in Myrtle Beach or a chocolate protein bowl on the beach with my sister-in-law in Aruba, and I’ll definitely never regret the best cocktail of my life with my friend Cassy in Houston. These are all moments I will remember forever all because the food that was incorporated in that memory.
Reevaluating where you are at in life and what is most important to you at that point is sometimes challenging to do, but it’s so eyeopening and freeing once you figure it out. And I’m lucky to have come to that point where I feel free and happy to enjoy life and every bite along the way. But that doesn’t mean my fitness routine has ended. I may be drinking more of my calories while I’m traveling, but my fitness routine is still top priority. And because of that, my wardrobe is constantly being revamped with activewear that I love and that makes me feel amazing. But since I can’t always find what I’m looking for in stores, I’ll often turn to eBay to find unique activewear that hardly anyone else has!
If you haven’t looked for activewear on eBay yet, you’re in for a treat! eBay has amazing on-trend activewear starting at $14.99! You’ll find favorites like Lululemon, Athleta, Nike, Adidas, and more. And you’ll often find limited edition apparel and shoes that you can’t find anywhere else! I always thought that you had to bid to buy anything on eBay, but that’s definitely not the case! Around 81% of all merchandise sold on eBay is new and available with the “Buy It Now” option (no bidding necessary). Which means you can get your hands on your unique items even quicker. Plus they have a Daily Deals section that helps you shop for even less and their Guaranteed Delivery ensures delivery in three days! All of this means that you can feel your best no matter what stage of life you are in. Whether you’re training for a olympic lifting meet, or a marathon, or you’re like me just looking for a quick workout before your next meal, eBay will help you find the perfect activewear to feel your best in! I recently found this entire look on eBay and I’m linking similar looks below to help you find a bright summer look you’ll feel great in!

I absolutely love this workout outfit on you, but what I love more is your post. It’s a breath of fresh air really to hear about your new more-balanced approach to enjoying life, really! You look absolutely amazing, girl — SO fit (it’s super inspiring)!
What do you think of those Adidas sneakers (are they the ultra boost)? I’ve been seeing them a lot, and have been wanting to give them a try! xx
thanks for the love, Hillary! and i LOVE my adidas ultra boost. i think they are some of the most comfortable shoes out there. they aren’t always great for crossfit when you’re doing anything that needs a flat food, but i don’t mind that much
Where are these sunnies from! Love them!

🙂 “appreciate the moments I’ll never get back” – YES. When I think of all the time I spent running from CF to the yoga/trx/spin studio for back to back workouts, I cringe..all the times I dodged dinner because of restaurant choice, I cringe. All that effort in the gym means less time with loved ones, and when they’re gone, they’re gone. I’m talking humans and pets, and even yourself – other forms of self care fall by the wayside. Fitness is fun – but it shouldn’t take over life. I could go on, buuut…I am going to go look at active wear on eBay instead 😉 Happy Friday!
totally agree DC!
Good for you for living your life fully and in the present. I work towards that every day and it’s still challenging sometimes at my age (51!). There is no doubt that different years and different decades of my life have meant shifting priorities – work, kids, friends, appearance (yikes!) and fitness/sports. But through it all I have tried to put HEALTH at or near the top of the list. I’ve found that if wellness and health are a top priority, a lot of the other wellness measures fall in line. After 10 days in Italy this month on vacation I ate pasta, gelato and wine every day. Sure I gained a few pounds but I would not trade a BITE or the memories we made there. Happiness is absolutely a factor in good health. Cheers!
What an amazing place you are in. That takes lots of time and work and self realization, and I don’t know you, but I’m proud of you! Happiness is certainly a choice that takes lots of effort, but you clearly seem up to the challenge. It’s such a joy to hear this! XOXO Sincerely, Colleen
Juli,
Thank you for this!!!! Thank you for reminding us what is important and for helping us on our own journies and for sharing yours with us. I hope you get all the happiness you are looking for and that everything goes the way you want. It is always so nice to see someone be open and honest about their life and to share what they are going through. It helps us all remember that things can change and that we have the power to make the changes we want to see.
Thank you again so much for everything!!!!

Yay Juli! I’m so happy to read that you are focusing on your happiness first – we need more women out there saying stuff like this 🙂 Also love the outfit – I wouldn’t think to pair blue shoes with purple leggings but it works!!
