I’ve never done a post like this, but I thought it would be fun to mix things up and see what you guys think! Earlier this week I was going to shoot some photos in these Fur-Lined Lace Up Wedge Boots because they are boots I want to die in. Actually, I hope I die somewhere extremely warm where all I need is a swimsuit and a cover-up, but if things don’t work out, I hope these boots go with me. That didn’t exactly sound like a great sell, but let me explain something to you – they are the comfiest, cutest, sturdiest wedge booties you will ever wear. Plus they are waterproof and probably the most comfortable boots I have ever purchased. And they mix up my normal boring boot routine that I have become too accustomed to. They even come in a burgundy color, if you’re looking to really mix things up. But with all that being said, I understand that not everyone is looking to drop a couple hundred on a pair of boots, so today I’m giving you lots of options! Spending extra on a pair of boots often goes a long way, but not all the time. So today I’m walking you down comparison alley, where you can see similar boots and decided when you want to splurge, and when you want to save!

PaleOMG Splurge or Save on Boots

Shop My Look

Now let’s first start off with Marc Fisher LTD Izzie Boot! I have a bunch of Marc Fish boots because they are so incredibly comfortable and they really elevate your winter boot game! But of course, they will run you about $250. Luckily I found a similar pair by Universal Thread at Target that will only run you $40! This pair comes in both black and has pretty great reviews!

Next is a boot I have had in my own closet for a few years now and I continue to wear year after year! This Sorel Joan of Arctic Wedge Boot will run you about $240 (but it is on sale right now for 25% off!!) and you have 7 different color options to choose from. Or you can try out this Universal Thread Fuzzy-Lined Wedge Boot for only $40! You may not have all the color options Sorel offers, but unlike the Sorel boots, these are lined with a shearling type material inside to keep your feet even warmer!

If you’re looking for a taller boot, you can check out the Sorel Joan of Arctic Boot that comes in 6 different colors and is lined with faux fur, it will just run you about $200. Or you can try out this Lugz Tundra Snow Boot in a similar green color with a faux fur lining, and it will only run you $90! That’s an extra $110 in your pocket to live your best life in!

If you don’t love the boot look and want something that looks a little more like a sneaker, check out these Cole Haan Shearling Trim Waterproof Hiker Boot which have great reviews, come in a few different colors, and will run you about $200. Or you can try on these Dr. Scholl’s Waterproof Booties instead. I personally prefer the look of these boots over the Cole Haan pair, but I also prefer the price because the Dr. Scholl’s brand will only cost you $75! And from my experience with Dr. Scholl’s shoes, they should be quite comfortable!

Now for the Fur-Lined Lace Up Wedge Boots I shared earlier in this post. As you know, I love them. But they are going to run you about $240. Are they worth that? In my opinion, yes. But if you want to save $170, which sounds quite lovely, you can check out these Torrid Faux Suede Sherpa Lined Wedge Booties instead! They only cost $70 and they are pretty damn adorable. Now quite as extra, but they are cute AF and have great review!!

Last but not least, we are back to Sorel with these Joan of Arctic Wedge Chelsea Boot. They would normally cost you $200 (but they are currently on sale for 25% off!!), but I found these dupes for only $40 at Target. These Universal Thread Faux Leather Wedge Booties come in black and tan, and they have a crap ton of great reviews!! People will never know these are dupes!

Hopefully this helps you figure out when you want to save and when you want to splurge on some of your winter apparel! If you like this kind of post, let me know and I’ll do more in the future! And just FYI, you can use the image below to quickly check out the link of the boot you like most!

Love this post, Juli! I love everything that you do – you inspire me! The only thing I have to say is PLEASE don’t support the use of fur (re: the Rabbit fur in your fave boots)! It is soo barbaric how they treat the animals and there are SO many beautiful options out there! I say this because you inspire so many people, and I’d hate to see people run and buy these boots, supporting the horrible fur trade. xoxoxox Always
