If you like the keep things pretty basic bitch when it comes to your wardrobe – meaning you like comfy tees, simple jeans, maybe a little jacket when it gets a little chilly out – then you need add some snakeskin boots to your fall attire. And I hear what you’re saying already, “But JULI, you are already said it, I’m BASIC.” And I get that. I am, too, at least 50% of the time. I’m 32 which means I want to be comfortable way more than I want to be adorable. I mean, it is 2020…do we still care about wearing stilettos and tight dresses? I feel like that was part of the last decade, but this new decade is for comfort. Comfort and cuteness. Cue the snakeskin boots!
What I love about a pair of snakeskin boots or booties is that you can pair them with about anything. Jeans? Yes. A dress? Yes. Shorts and a t-shirt? Yes and yes!! And because you are giving off a little flare down low, all you have to wear up top is simple and easy. No mix and matching different tops or bringing out the big guns with some pinstripe pants in hopes of making some sort of statement with your fashion choices. No way. All you have to do is slide on a pair of snakeskin boots and you immediately have an outfit that stands out. There you go, being basic and adventurous all at the same time!
Take this look as an example. I wore my favorite pair of jeans that have not been washed in months even though I wear them at least three times per week (yes, you should have read that as a run-on sentence in a very quick and nervous tone). I paired it with the absolute best t-shirt bodysuit. And I know what you’re thinking (yes, again!) – “Why wouldn’t I just buy a normal t-shirt so I didn’t have to unsnap my vagina every time I go to the bathroom?” Which is totally fair…you lazy ass. But this t-shirt bodysuit is really worth the extra 6 seconds of unsnapping because you’ll never have to worry about your shirt coming untucked and you definitely won’t have to worry about your crack showing. And let’s face it, if you’re too lazy for 6 seconds of unsnapping, you’re definitely too lazy to know that your crack is climbing out of your pants. I’m just protecting you.
Then I finished the look off with a simple Shearling Lined Jean Jacket. This jacket comes in 7 different colors and I’m really eyeing the malbec color now because I want to wear that color with every single outfit I put on. What is so great about a burgundy-purple color? I have no clue, but I love it. Now when you look at this outfit, you can see that it’s simply AF. It would look just as cute with a pair of sneakers. But when I want to feel like a fancy 32 year old, snakeskin booties it is! And these booties come in two different snakeskin prints and 3 basic color options, as well. Be as bold or as basic as you want! Just don’t be lazy, ok?
