Episode 106 Transcription Coming Soon
I think it was brave and real and vulnerable for you to have recorded last week’s episode, as well as this week’s follow-up. I think the stakes are too high right now to not talk about it.
I love listening to your podcasts because it feels like I am talking to a friend. (Well, to be fair, you are the only one doing the talking, but you know what I mean.) These last two episodes just reinforced the connection you have the ability to create because it’s just life. Things come up, important things, and we need to talk about them. If we don’t, it just perpetuates the problem.
Thank you, Juli.
thank you so much for the support, Lindsay. you are totally right when you say it will perpetuate the problem. time to continue to speak up and out!
I’ll never understand how people can be offended by you sharing your truth. It’s FAR more offensive that you had to experience the things you did. It was brave to share your experiences, and even more brave to continue to share your message in such a vulnerable way after people attacked you (WTF is WRONG with them?!).
You’re SO strong, both physically and mentally. Keep it up!
PS – I ordered some of your athletic gear and can’t wait to get it! 😉
thank you so much for the love Chelsea!! so so sweet of you to take the time to leave a comment! and YAY!! so pumped for you to get your gear!
I related to your words from your last podcast 100% and appreciate you talking through your story with us. Echoing others here, I cannot understand how anything you said would bring backlash but unfortunately that’s where we are. I have followed you (everywhere) for a long time because of your authenticity and your dope recipes 🙂
Thank you, thank you!!
it definitely wasn’t my intention and it blows, but i also understand it to some degree too. i think a lot of people thought i was throwing them under the bus, but that was no my intention. i guess sometimes you just gotta do what is best for you. thank you for the longterm support, ryan! i really appreciate it!
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I truly appreciate those that I follow who can take even just a few moments out of their day to speak to what’s going on. You’re 100% right that this is a humanity issue and I think that anyone who wants to debate that statement is hiding behind an insecurity, fear, or obvious political bias of their own. I’ve always enjoyed your point of view and candor and your Time’s Up podcast just reiterated why.
thank you so much for the love Laura!
Pretty sure these past 2 podcast episodes have been my favorite so far. You just get so real and relatable. I’m so sorry you went through that experience, and screw all the people who feel strong behind their keyboards and send you hate mail! I’ve really loved your blog and instagram, and your podcast always makes me smile. BTW on this latest podcast you asked how listening to your podcast or reading your blog has changed our lives- well for me, you’ve taught me its cool for girls to lift heavy weights! My whole life I was told that “guys don’t like bulky girls” and “cut calories, only do cardio, look like a weirdo lifting 2 pound weights” and now I realize lifting heavy isn’t just cool but it’s actually really empowering. So yeah thanks for giving me the confidence to go to the “real weight room” with the bro’s and do actual squats and deadlifts 🙂
Keep doing what you do!
that’s amazing Emily!! good work! it’s amazing how empowering lifting weights can be and i’m so glad i could introduce you to that! and thank you so much for the love and kind words! you have no idea how much it means after the past couple weeks
I just love you and your podcast SO much. I absolutely cannot thank you enough for always being true to yourself. That podcast was so damn important and I want you to know how much it meant to me that you were brave enough to take that on.
THANK YOU AND SCREW THE HATERS!!!!
thank you so much for the kind words Jenn!!
You are 100% right! The fact that you got any backlash blows my mind…it is 2018. I love this blog and the podcast so much, you always speak your mind for me it’s like having my friends in the car. Anytime I need a recipe you are my first stop, you are my wardrobe inspiration and skin guru. Most importantly your take on things like no food is a “cheat”, and body positivity is a great reminder for me (and everyone). I am going back to school for nutrition and you are definitely one of the top blogs that gives me the inspiration to dive into this business.
Basically you are F***ing crushing it.
thank you so freaking much for the kind words! it definitely sucked and i’ve felt the suck for a while now so i really appreciate this comment!
