    Hi Juli!
I’ve been listening to your podcast since the beginning and I’ve always loved the variety of topics and your honesty. I’m at a loss for words about this episode (and so much of the news throughout this past week/month/year) but just wanted to say THANK YOU for speaking about these issues in your daily life. I respect your decision to usually not talk about politics/religion in your blog and podcast but truly appreciate your decision to speak out about these experiences. You’re the best! xoxo

sometimes you just gotta talk it out. and i just couldn’t stay quiet about this. thank you so much for the support Alison!

  2. Bailee Christiansen says:

LOVED this all so much. Absolutely amazing.

    1. juli says:

      thank you so much Bailee!

  3. L says:

Hey Julie – I just want to say that I’ve been following you for a long time. I love you for your outfit inspiration, your humor, your desire to be strong, your way to make Paleo and eating healthy easy. I am so thankful that you posted this podcast today. I think it just shows another beautiful side of you and I’m really happy that you were so open about how you’ve been treated. An interesting thing I noticed was that you even apologized for ” talking about this” on the podcast. I too so often apologize when there was no need to. You speaking about something you care about is never necessary for an apology. You’re an incredible woman and I hope you keep standing up for yourself and other women.

    1. L says:

Juli*. ( I know you don’t care haha but I used talk to text and I didn’t proofread! )

    2. juli says:

FOR REAL!! we are taught to apologize for everything. that it’s the lady thing to do. but it’s so true, we need to stop apologizing and start standing up for ourselves, each other and our rights.

  4. Becky says:

Couldn’t agree more with L- if people haven’t figured out yet they your podcast is uncensored and they can walk on by if they don’t care for it, f*ck ‘em…you were passionate and articulate AF this week and it was so cool to see you using your platform to support empowering women! Never shy away from talking about causes you feel strongly about-it was one of my favorite episodes!

    1. juli says:

thank you so so much for the kind words Becky! i definitely didn’t feel articulate so i appreciate that!

  5. Seggan Sanders says:

Juli, this episode was ON. POINT. I started listening to MindPump after Sal was on your podcast, so I listen to both of you guys. There are times that I can’t listen to what they are talking about because it is a little too “bro” or whatever but I do agree with you that they are great guys and they are really open to other ideas. It’s the other side of it. I think this episode really humanizes you to people who think that you are only what your photos show. Thank you for speaking your mind on this and being open! I have a great respect for you.

    1. juli says:

thank you so much for leaving a comment Seggan. i really don’t ever want my podcast to be a downer when we can just turn the news on for that. but i just couldn’t stay silent anymore. we all need to start sharing our experiences and stop putting up with the people who talk down to us. i’m done with it.

  6. Becca says:

Loved the podcast today! Summed up a lot of my feelings as well

    1. juli says:

      thanks Becca!

  7. Kaitlyn Lubrano says:

Thanks for being so honest in this podcast! I felt powered, not weird from your talk. It could be also that I finished RBG series on Ruth Bader Ginsburg and was feeling all the feels for women’s rights. By going to an event like you did and calling this out, you are addressing the emotions many women go through and makes us feel like we are not crazy for thinking those exact same thoughts! Thanks for using your platform for inspiration in all areas.

    1. juli says:

thank you so much for the support, Kaitlyn. it felt really good to talk about it all and share that experience with other women who have to go through it every single day. we need to start standing up for ourselves.

  8. Bethany says:

I was listening to this podcast in my kitchen last night while prepping dinner. My 9-year-old son (whose name is Jackson, BTW ????) was nearby and was passively listening while doing some crafts at the table. Not only did he delight in hearing all the F-bombs ????, but it kicked off a very valuable discussion about not ever commenting on a person’s appearance, and how you can ALWAYS find something nice to say to someone. Thanks for your honesty and willingness to speak out on important issues like this – even 9-year-old boys are listening and hopefully also learning how to behave respectfully and appropriately!

    1. juli says:

lol omg reading the first line of this comment made me think it was going in a very different direction. but thank you for supporting me in my cussing habits, even with your child around. and that’s so cool it brought up a valuable discussion. more parents should start having this conversation with their sons early on so we can raise a better generation than the ones we are experiencing at the moment.

      1. Bethany says:

I didn’t mean to alarm you! You know I think you’re awesome!! And I think the F-bomb might be my most favorite cuss word, since I must utter it at least 15 times a day. I can use it as an adjective, verb, adverb… 😀 My son has heard them all come out of my mouth, and he understands that they are just words that somebody decided were “bad” words. Like seriously, why is the s-word a cuss but poop is not? Who decided? And I’m sorry, but sometimes the MOST appropriate and applicable word is F—. Saying gosh darnit just ain’t gonna cut it. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it 🙂

  9. Jennifer says:

Hey Juli! I’ve been listening to your podcast since day one. I have always enjoyed how you keep it real, keep it fun and keep the world of politics and all that other B.S. out of it so we can all enjoy a mental break for an hour or so. But, I LOVED this episode. I truly felt empowered by your take on the podcast hard event and the kavanaugh hearing. I’ve always considered myself somewhat of a feminist but your words made take a deeper look into situations in my own life. You don’t need to apologize for voicing how all of this has made you feel. In fact, I love to hear more! You are a voice, you can inspire change. This episode is furthering the conversation and I thank you. Keep kicking ass!

    1. juli says:

thank you so much for the kind words Jennifer. we all need to start standing up for ourselves and stop making excuses for others because we don’t want to come off as nagging or a complainer. i just can’t sit quiet any longer.

  10. Michelle says:

Hi Juli – I love everything you put out (blog posts, Instagram posts and stories, leggings, podcast) but never comment. This podcast, though, was so on point and so necessary I had to write you. Thanks for being a badass and telling it like it is. You’re the best!

    1. juli says:

thank you so much for the kind words Michelle
