I woke up to a BIG surprise this morning. It’s 19 degrees out and now I don’t want to go anywhere. Colorado played a trick on us by giving us 83 degree weather on Wednesday and now it’s punching us right in the face with below freezing. Gross. I don’t know why it’s always a shock when I’ve lived here my entire life. And it really shouldn’t be a downer for me because I’ve been loading up on winter sweaters, jackets and scarves from Nordstrom so I’m prepped and ready for cold weather!

PaleOMG Fashion: Winter Scarves and Flattering Sweaters

Whenever it gets cold out, I have a hard time wanting to head out with friends or even my husband. Date nights become gluten free pasta nights in our pajamas. And as sexy as that may sound (that’s sarcasm), date nights in real clothes makes it feel a tad more special. But now that it’s cold, instead of head turning dresses, I’m slipping into comfortable jeans that won’t break the bank.

Jeans are something I refuse to spend very much money on and that’s because the more I’ve tried different brands, the more I’ve found brands that hold up just as well to the expensive ones. And Nordstrom makes it easy to shop my favorite jeans like Articles of Society (that I’m wearing in this post), STS Blue, and BLANKNYC with most of my favorites under $100!

Even though it’s freezing out, dates with my husband are just as important in the winter! So I’ll be bundling up in affordable jeans, these amazing sweaters and throwing a scarf on top to stay extra warm. Don’t let this winter put you into hibernation mode! Stay warm and don’t miss out on any of the fun date spots even if it’s cold outside!

My husband doesn’t like when I look at your Fashion Friday’s posts, he says afterward that the credit card always has a bunch of shopping charges… Too bad. I love it.

Also, just scheduled my first dermaplane appointment after listening to your last listener questions Podcast, so excited! Always love your skin advice.

THANK YOU so much for posting all of these affordable stretchy jeans!!!

and P.S. I visited Colorado last week and spent one day in Denver and popped into Quiero Arepas that i snagged from your Denver series Travel posts and it was the best thing I’ve ever eaten! Holy sh*t! Can you post an Arepas recipe on your blog sometime? I’m determined to make these at home because they were perfection.

We also checked out The Source and hit Acorn which was amazing! And got a flight of sour beers at Crooked Stave–thanks for those recommendations!

And Union Station happened as well–grabbed a pastry there.

We walked all over downtown but it was super windy and chilly (this was last Saturday, 1 week ago) and there was a lot to see. It was cool.
