I had someone just the other day ask if I still use Tula and the answer is – HELL YES! I absolutely love Tula and it’s a product I use every single day. I’ve been using Tula for over a year now and I’m constantly impressed by their products. Everything they come out with is incredibly hydrating and leaves your skin better than the day before. AND healthier than the day before. You know why? Because Tula packs their products full of probiotics!

In every single Tula product, you’ll find natural probiotics and healthy superfoods like blueberries and tumeric, and targeted safe ingredients like AHAs, retinol (aka Vitamin A), and Vitamin C, to improve the look of the skin. And all their products are cruelty free and contain no phthalates, parabens, propylene glycol, petrolatum, gluten, and mineral oil. I don’t know what the hell a phthalate is but I trust that I don’t want it on my skin.

If you take a daily probiotic, you probably already know how important they are for creating good bacteria in our gut. But probiotics are also known to help lock in moisture and soothe the look of inflammation. That means whenever you’re using Tula products, you’re locking in your skins moisture, helping it soothe distressed skin, and defending it against environmental stressors (aka aging, boooooo). When I first started using Tula, I would wake up every morning with clearer and smoother looking skin from the night before. I’m not kidding!

PaleOMG - 3 Steps to More Glowing & Even Skin

Even though I have a ton of Tula products I love and use regularly, I’ve been combining 3 products recently for more even skin. Whenever summer roles along and I’m traveling to sunny places, I ALWAYS get dark spots. My skin is incredibly prone to them. So I not only fight them in my estheticians office, but I also fight them at home with a combination of three Tula products –

  1. First I use Tula’s Dual-Phase Skin Reviving Treatment Pads twice a week. These pads include probiotics and lactic acid to exfoliate the skin, along with a few other ingredients that brighten rough and dull looking skin. It also removes excess oil and helps clear pores, leaving your skin smooth, bright and luminous after.
  2. Then I love using Tula’s Pro-Glycolic 10% PH Resurfacing Gel. This alcohol-free toner uses probiotics, glycolic acid, and beetroot extract to gently exfoliate the skin, leaving it looking smooth, hydrated and more even. I’m huge into beets so since I love eating them, I might as well rub them all over my skin too, especially if it’s going to minimize pore size.
  3. Lastly, every day I use Tula’s Illuminating Serum. This was my favorite Tula product from the beginning and it’s stayed that way. This serum helps with the appearance of dark spots, hyperpigmentation and dull skin, helping your skin glow every time you put it on.

With all three of these Tula products together, I’m able to reduce some of my dark spots, minimize my pore size and reveal my glowing skin that’s hiding underneath my sun kissed, airplane ridden skin. It’s the best!

    Good Morning,

I rarely comment on these things but thought this might be beneficial to some. I recently started following your blog and found Tula. I was super excited to try it when I read one of your earlier blogs about it b/c I was recently trying to change over my face routine to one that is not full of crappy ingredients and is cruelty free. So I jumped in with all of your recommendations. I started with the cleanser, the illuminating serum and the day and night cream. Boy was that a mistake! My skin is SUPER sensitive and I broke out all over but mainly my chin. Like first days of puberty. It was awful. And creeping up on 40 I wasn’t happy AT ALL and I had been using it for almost 2 months with no change. I was about ready to give up and go back to the Estee Lauder stuff I had been using for years and then you posted about the Aqua Infusion duo. I thought, I’ll give it one more try. And let me tell you how happy that I did. This stuff is amazing! No breakouts, no freaked out skin – just healthy happy skin since I’ve started using it. Still feel like I’ve got some wrinkles creeping in but I’m working to embrace those lol. Plus as long as my husband still says I’m beautiful, I’m good. 🙂 Tula is amazing and thank you SO MUCH for turning me on to it. It feels so good knowing that what I’m using is good for me and is cruelty free. Thank you Juli!

Thanks, Jessica! Very helpful as I ran into the same issues with breaking out around my chin & jaw line when using the same products you were using. Did you discontinue using the cleanser, the illuminating serum and the day and night cream altogether or are you using these products in conjunction with the Aqua Infusion duo?

      1. Jessica says:

I use the Aqua Infusion Duo and the cleanser. I discontinued the other products.

      Jessica,

I had the same issue with the day and night cream but switched to the aqua moisturizer and continued using all the other Tula products I had purchased and I love them all so much! I think my skin just didn’t agree with the day and night moisturizer.

I looked on their website and it looks like several people broke out after using the proglycolic stuff too! I break out using the illuminating serum for wrinkles but not the regular serum.

Thanks to your recommendations I tried Tula and love the aqua duo. I have very sensitive skin so the serum didn’t work for me as made me break out but so far the aqua line has been amazing. I also use vivant face wash and amazing. Thanks for sharing skin tips!

Juli – thanks to you, I gave Tula products a try. They. Are. Life. Changing. I struggle with oily and acne prone skin, and am almost 30 years old. I tried everything under the sun (Proactive, Rodan and Fields, dermatologist prescriptions, etc.) and NOTHING worked. I started using Tula and within a few days, my skin was glowing, less oily, and my breakouts started clearing up. I use the gentle cleanser, illuminating serum and then the day/night moisturizer in the AM, and then the cleanser, toner and day/night moisturizer in the evening, and that seems to work best for me. I also use the treatment pads 1x/week or so. I can’t thank you enough for introducing me to this company!

    1. juli says:

yay!! so glad you’re loving the products!!

Hi Juli! If we were to start with just one of these products to give it a try before fully committing, which one would you recommend? Thanks!!

  7. Liz says:

I have celiac disease and I contacted Tula about gluten – some products actually may contain it since they have oat derived ingredients. FYI.

    1. juli says:

thank you for the info liz!!
