All I’ve been craving in sweet potatoes, nutella, chocolate, and ummmmm more sweet potatoes, in fry form. That’s all I’ve wanted. Thankfully I’ve been eating other stuff, but I don’t know what the hell is going on. No, I’m not pregnant. And no, it’s not that time of the month. You should know that by now if you’ve read my blog regularly. Gross. I’m gross.

I kind of want ice cream.

Ok, enough about food. This blog is a food blog, I shouldn’t be talking about it. Just kidding. Let’s talk about these banana breads. I wanted banana bread the other day and ended up making it without nuts or seeds, which I haven’t done before. I’m not really sure if a coconut is a seed or a fruit, but I don’t really care because my body gets along with coconuts. I’m sure someone will tell me on my blog. That’s usually how I learn stuff.

I got my nails AND toes done yesterday. My feet feel lighter. I’m pretty sure it’s been 7 years since I got a pedicure. SEVEN YEARS. Do you know how many calluses build up in 7 years? While doing CrossFit. And wearing shoes that don’t take very good care of my feet. Either way, my toes look pretty good at this point. I have ugly toes so I need as much help as I can get. I’m so excited to get sandals.

Never once did I think I would say that. My life is so different compared to last year, it’s ridiculous. Last year, I was wearing CrossFit clothes constantly, working out multiple times a day, never taking off my tennis shoes (mostly because they smell terrible), Rx’ing every workout, and rarely taking off my headband. I now get my toes and nails done, suck at workouts, style my hair about 60% of the time, drink bloody marys more often than not, and shop online more than I ever thought I would. ModCloth is doing well off of me. I’m even going shopping for jeans twice in one week after crying in the dressing room last time. But I’m definitely getting jeans this time around. I’m not letting any jeans get me down, like I would have last year. Anyone know a good seamstress in Denver? I think I’m gonna need it.

I just ate sweet potatoes and there is grease on my keyboard. I’m a terrible blogger.

Love your website & recipes. I started making my own coconut butter, way cheaper than buying. Like you not too crazy about nuts being in everything so it’s nice to have new ideas.

    Thanks!

  3. Amanda says:

Botanically, the coconut fruit is a drupe, not a true nut.

But who cares, cuz it’s deeeelish! Can’t wait to try these!

The only jeans that fit my crossfit butt and thighs are the Paige Skyline skinny. I have 4 pairs. Give them a shot!

  6. Tiff says:

Ok, I’m dumb…but do I use all six bananas in the bread batter and need a seventh banana to top one? Or do I use five in the batter and one as the topper? Thanks!

  7. Darlynn says:

Help…If I have no coconut cream what shall I do/use–no coconuts right now either?! Is it usually found in local grocery stores?

    1. juli says:

you can buy the coconut cream concentrate on tropical traditions.com

    2. Debbie says:

Also, if you have a local co-op or some sort of health food store, or hell, even a health-food section at a regular grocery store, they’ll likely carry it there. Our co-op carries everything you can imagine-coconut and I’m in freakin’ Idaho.

  8. Nancy Morgan says:

Tiff…I’d say that there is a 7th banana because 1 banana is listed under the variety section, as is chocolate chips and blue/strawberries, all of which aren’t listed in the main ingredient’s part.

She always makes me so damn hungry 🙂

    1. Tiff says:

Ah, yes…clearly I got too excited to read carefully. Thanks Nancy!

  9. Kim W says:

Holy deliciousness. And hilariousness. (My auto correct wanted to make that “hilarious mess” lol jerk.) I can’t wait to try this banana bread with all the added extras! Genius!

Coconut is considered a nut. Although it’s more recently that it’s being labeled as such. My son is only 6 and has a tree nut allergy. Coconut was never labeled as part of the tree nut warning but is now. I don’t know whether that’s because of the coconut actually being similar to other tree nuts or just because many people with tree nut allergies have had reactions to coconuts as well. So… I guess that didn’t realize answer your question at all. My b. I’m just gonna go make banana bread now…

If you are every visiting a city with one of these scanners nearby they are a life saver. My never had a pair of jeans fit daughter (since she started crossfit) now has jeans that fit. With a walk into the store try on one pair type of ease.
