Remember when you were younger and your skin would just bounce back no matter what you threw at it? Sunburn? Who cares. Windy day at the beach? It’s cool. Laughing for 5 hours straight? No smile lines left behind on that face of yours. But as you may have noticed as you get a little older (and a little wiser), your skin needs way more help as you age. It’s not going to just bounce back like it used to. A sunburn is a big deal, a wind burn is not too fun to take care of, and well, smile lines are inevitable. But luckily, I’ve finally figured out what is best for my skin and what keeps my acne at bay – HYDRATION!
Hydration is QUEEN! Our body is about 70% water which is proof right there in the pudding that our bodies LOVE water. They want to be hydrated. And I finally started to notice that as I got into my mid-20’s and my skin would look dull and almost faded. Even with different products, it didn’t matter unless I was hydrate, inside AND out. So I began drinking a crap ton of water daily (I try to drink over a gallon a day) and I started taking a look at some of the products I use and how I could still use those products while hydrating my skin along the way. Serums and creams that I use daily like Vitamin C, Mandelic Acid or Retin-A can tend to be a little harsh on the skin, but if you hydrate it with the right products, you skin will benefit even more from them. And that’s where L’Occitane’s new AQUA Réotier line comes in handy!
I started using L’Occitane Divine Eyes back in October and it quickly became one of my favorite eye creams because of how much it hydrated below my eyes. I’ve always had issues under my eyes with the skin being dry and almost crepey, which made wearing makeup a total pain. But Divine Eyes completely cleared up that issue. So when I heard about their AQUA Réotier line, I couldn’t wait to try it! And it showed up at my doorstep at the perfect time! After being on vacation and in a completely different climate, my skin had a hard time coming back to Colorado where it’s INCREDIBLY dry. After just one day of being back and using my products like I normally do, my skin was dry, flaky and peeling. So I turned to the AQUA Réotier line and was instantly happy. I’m not joking. After just using three simple products, my skin was back to feeling like itself almost right away. It was amazing!
The new AQUA Réotier line offers 5 different hydrating products and I have 3 that I’m using every day now! In the line, you’ll find:
- AQUA Réotier Water Gel Cleanser
- AQUA Réotier Moisture Prep Essence
- AQUA Réotier Ultra Thirst-Quenching Gel
- AQUA Réotier Ultra Thirst-Quenching Cream
- AQUA Réotier Fresh Moisturizing Mist
I first hydrate my skin with the Moisture Prep Essence, then I top it with the Ultra Thirst-Quenching Cream and finish it all off with a light misting of the Fresh Moisturizing Mist. I go to sleep with a face that insanely hydrated then wake up feeling the same! And because of that, my skin glows throughout the day and I rarely ever find it breaking out or cracking from the dryness of Colorado!
I like to start with the Moisture Prep Essence because it preps the skin for the Ultra Thirst-Quenching Cream. When you put the Moisture Prep Essence on your skin, it instantly feels hydrated, more plump and your skin is glowing right away. Then once you add the Ultra Thirst-Quenching Cream, your skin is left feeling velvety smooth and almost silky! And lastly, I spray my face with the Fresh Moisturizing Mist to lock in all the hydration. I actually keep the mist in my purse and will sometimes use it as a setting spray for my makeup or just as a refresher when the sun is beating down on my skin all day!
Ever since I started using the AQUA Réotier line, my skin not only looks better and shines brighter, but I haven’t had a single break out! Our body craves water and this natural spring water plus hyaluronic acid line will prove that your skin can really bounce back, no matter what the climate throws at you throughout the summer! Get ready for more plump, hydrated and happy skin!
