Well good maunin’ to ya, laddy! Please say that with a Irish accent because that’s how I’m saying it out loud right now. Probably because I’m hallucinating. Because I’m working out at 6:30 IN THE MORNING today. I can make sh*t happen by 8am, but 6:30 is really pushing it. And I’m a morning person. I get naturally around 5:45 or earlier every day and I’m ready to punch the day in the face. But getting my heart rate to maximum capacity before the sun has fully risen, well, that’s some bullsh*t. BUT if you’ve ever worked out after a spray tan, you know you look like a scene out of the movie Carrie. And I’d prefer my spray tan to look like a scene out of The Jersey Shore. Ya feel me? Man, I miss that show.

I decided it was time to get a spray tan and fake my vitamin D glow since I’m heading up to Aspen for the weekend for the Food & Wine Classic! I’m not fully sure of all the things that will be going on while at this event, but I know there is a lot of food involved and let’s be real, I’ve been prepping for whole life for it. There are cooking demos, celebrity chefs, wine, cocktails, and well, Aspen! I tend to NEVER go to the mountains in the winter because it’s cold AF and expensive AF. And I don’t want to pay to be on a mountain while cold and miserable then sit in traffic for hours until I end up peeing on the side of a highway. But that’s just me. So when the summer rolls around, I venture back into our beautiful mountains and enjoy the scenery.

What’s so funny looking back to when I was a kid and a teenager – I thought I was a total weirdo for being obsessed with food. And I was actually told that I was weird by my friends and family because I always talked about food. So for the longest time, I had a really unhealthy relationship with food because I thought I wasn’t normal for loving it so much. Fast forward 15+ years and now I’m surrounded daily by people who are just as obsessed as I am. And now I’m actually going to an event with people who are probably even more obsessed than I am. That’s rad AF.

So even though young kids don’t read this blog because I’m entering the more wrinkled years of my 30’s soon, here’s a little reminder to any of you people out there – let your weirdness shine because there are lots of other weirdos out there just like you. And well, your weirdness could become your job and then you’ll be the happiest weirdo around.

I’m not sure how this post turned into a motivational speech. I guess I’m just really feeling this Wednesday since I got my endorphins going so early!

yes, because your 30s are just wrinkled to hell 😉

this looks amazing… is it intended as a meal replacement? I know collagen has at least a little bit of protein, but probably not a meal’s worth… would you add some protein powder to make it as such?

    1. juli says:

not in my 30s yet and the wrinkles have already started to come in, mostly because of the cystic acne i had and the scars that it has left behind. it’s all about maintenance and prevention! and i don’t see shakes as a meal replacement personally
