Noooooooo. I’m sick again. I don’t get it, guys. I work from home. The only places I ever go to are the gym, the grocery store, annoying errands, and coffee shops. I don’t get in close contact with many people. People are gross. This must mean I’m not washing my hands very well. Ewwwwwww I’m so gross. But for reals, I had bronchitis about 2 weeks back, which doesn’t really go away even after your medication is done, and now I have a super sore throat. But my body feels ok. It’s just weird. But the real issue here is that my third cookbook is due in 2 weeks. TWO. WEEKS. Yesterday, all I could manage to do was type up an ingredient list for a recipe (not the process, too exhausting), read 50 Shades of Grey (yes, I finally gave in) and eat a gluten free cinnamon roll from Kyra’s Bake Shop (yes, they ship, it’s effing awesome). That has been my life. How I even got myself dressed this past week is a mystery in itself.

So this outfit was something I threw together on a quick night out. We decided to grab some mexican food at a local joint that has been there foreverrrrr so it’s suppose to be legit. I think it was pretty legit, because I felt pretty terrible afterwards. Everyone went out after dinner and I went back home to hope that my stomach would stop hating itself. Sometimes you gotta take chances, and sometimes those chances fail miserably. At least the outfit didn’t! I got this turquoise leather jacket for Christmas and I absolutely LOVE it! I want to wear it every day. If you find a turquoise leather jacket online somewhere, let me know, because I can’t find one to share with you and that puts a real kick in my step. Whatever the hell that means.

Have you ever tried taking pictures with your animal? It’s hard work. Isn’t Jackson HUGE? My lord, he just keeps growing. He’s the greatest, even if he won’t pose for pictures. Anywho, this is an outfit I wore out and about with Sergio. If you don’t know who Sergio is, that makes sense, I mean you don’t really even know who I am. But he’s my best guy friend. He’s awesome. And he’s even weirder than I am. So we make a good team. We try to hang out at least once a week to either work together or wander somewhere. This was one of those special Colorado days in January that gets to 50 degrees. So we wandered an outdoor mall with iced coffees. Can you beat those days? No way. Jackson wasn’t invited, his ADD gets in the way too much.

Last but not least…I just got these shoes and LOVE them. Sometimes, the shoes are all you need to do the talking for your outfit. And since I am a very loud person, I need my shoes to be loud as well. Just so you know, if you grab these, I would grab a 1/2 size larger. These are in my normal size and a bit snug. But I can’t complain. I’ll still be wearing these into the summer!

Jackson is so cute. I want to snuggle him. Those shoes are awesome! I have no idea how you can walk in those things. I am so clumsy. I always have to stick to low heels!

There is a character in book series No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency whose shoes talk to her. Those colorful shoes would give the wearer some sass! BTW I bought the leopard print flats. Sweet! Keep doing what you’re doing. It’s good on you!

Can’t even pick a favorite, but for the shoes in the bottom photo that one might have to be it!
