You guys. I’m stuck. Summer is coming, it’s just around the corner. And my legs don’t fit into shorts. I feel like I run into this problem every year. But I’m right there again, and frustrated about it. I left the mall the other day pretty upset. It just blows to get to a point that you’re comfortable in your own skin, then an article of clothing dictates how you feel. So instead of pouting, I bought skirts. Skirts always fit. My inner thighs may sweat and chafe but at least I fit in skirts. Have you found a certain kind of shorts that fit you? More so, that fit the butt and back of the legs? Help me out hereeeee.
I love scarves. All winter long and all sumer long. That is all.

I absolutely adore this top. It is seriously so flattering on any figure and so incredibly comfortable. But these jeans, these jeans are the greatest. I’ve worn these exact pair but in plum, and since they are little bit more high waisted, the never move. I never have to pull them up or mess with them, they just stay in place, happy as can be.

Back to the shorts point. Here’s one of the skirts I bought in order to not cry over spilled milk. This one is super soft but still keeps everything snug. I wore this outfit all day running errands but by the end of the night, I was over booties so I switched to black flats for a little dinner with some friends. Dress it up, dress it down.

Another skirt! Who needs shorts when you can wear skirts all sumer long? Right? Right! That means I need to find a lot more skirts. Remember how I told you I would show you different ways to wear crop tops? Doing it again! If you’re not looking to show much tummy but still like the crop top look, wear a crop top with a high waisted skirt like this look! You can show as little or as much as you want!

What are you wearing this summer to stay cool while still comfortable?!
A little late here, but catching up on your posts from the last few weeks. I wear skorts ALL the time. I highly recommend. I get them at Athleta or anywhere else I can find them (Amazon has a lot). A lot of them are made for golfers, so they don’t always look like athletic gear. I wear them to work a lot too.
Juli, I agree with many of the other comments above – you have fabulous legs and ought to be proud and show them off!
So on that same note, it’s the clothes with the issues, not you. Every mfr has different patterns for all body sizes and shapes and none of them seem the same. That’s why I’m lazing around today in Old Navy size 8 jean skirt, but yesterday was in a size 0 pencil skirt from who knows where. Do you have a good tailor or seamstress? I finally hit 5′-1″ by age 27, but that still meant my seamstress and I would have a long and happy relationship, because almost nothing-even petite-fits correctly. This also means the overall cost of most clothing I buy due to adding tailoring is higher (sad face). I buy whatever fits the best and she adjusts as necessary. Have a chat with her to see how she recommends buying. I would think she’d have you size up your shorts (& cut the tag out if you don’t want to see any numbers) so they fit your rear and thighs, and I’m guessing the waist will be too big at that point, so she’ll take in the waist and taper it at the seams so it’s well-fitted. I’m sure they will be perfect after you get them back!
