Fashion Fridays is back! I had to take a week away from it because of a stomach bug that left me wearing sweats or just my underwear every day. I had some fever then chills going on. But I’m back and ready to strike this week, whatever that means! Outfits are fun this week because they were for all kinds of different events: a crop top for a date night out, a dress for a wedding, two airport looks, and then just a cape jacket that I plan on wearing all summer and all winter long. It’s awesome.

While I was putting this post together, it reminded me that my book releases in less than 5 weeks, which means I head out on book tour in that same amount of time, WHICH MEANS I have to pick out outfits for every one of my signings, WHICH MEANS I DON’T KNOW HOW I’M GOING TO PACK IT ALL! But back to outfits. This crop top may be my favorite one of all time. Remember when I got engaged and was wearing a long sleeve, scalloped crop top? Oh wait, I’m wearing it on the cover of my new cookbook!! Anywho, this top is super similar, except tear off the sleeves. Since it’s flowy, it makes the waist look itty bitty. I couldn’t find this exact top online since I bought it in a boutique, but I found 3 options that all need to be in my closet right now!

I wish I would have taken more pictures in this dress at the actual event because the wedding we were at was BEAUTIFUL. It was at the huge barn up in the mountains with a small lake next to it, filled with lights and more lights. It was so pretty. This dress is one of those dresses that will fit most body types and sits ever so nicely on the body. It’s so comfortable, moves as you dance and isn’t too short. I’m obsessed. I need something else to wear it to now!

After partying it up at the wedding, the next day I had to rush my packing and head to the airport to catch a plane to LA. Actually, for wedding stuff. I went to LA to meet with Katie May Collection to try on dresses and work on a little project and BOOM, I found my exact wedding dress. I want to show you guys SO BAD because I seriously feel so good in this dress. It is not a modest wedding dress, that’s for sure. I’m ready to show some skin in Jamaica next year! Anywho, this outfit below is the one I wore to the airport then out to lunch and drinks and dessert all night with my girlfriends. Man, California is awesome.

I’ve been wanting a cape jacket for a while now. It’s like you have a jacket on, but your arms are still free to go about doing whatever they’d like to do, without being restricted. You get me? This jacket is perfect for summer time nights when the weather is cooler, but it’s going to be even better in the winter when I am all dressed up and don’t feel like putting a down coat over my cute outfit. This will keep it dresses up without actually trying that hard OR spending that much money. Can you tell I’m excited for it?

I have been looking for a blazer like this for a while now. Something that is super light and can be thrown over a summer outfit. And boom, I literally ran into it the other day. This oversized blazer is incredibly light, comfortable and perfect for an airport ride back to Colorado.
