Fashion Fridays are finally back! Yayyyyy! I missed 3 weeks because first it was Christmas, then it was New Years (I wasn’t functioning much that week) then I had bronchitis. So this is really the first time in 3 weeks that I’ve even put on real pants. Thank the lawd. I feel much more productive when I actually shower. And it’s nice to finally see friends again

This outfit was an outfit I wore while heading out to dinner with Laura at Cuba Cuba. This restaurant is one of my favs. Especially since they have plantains made a million different ways. AND right now I’m trying to create a Cuban meal for my cookbook, so I needed a little inspiration.

This was probably my favorite outfit of the week. Because it’s the most comfortable and easiest to throw on. Hence why I wore it to a football/poker party. You don’t really need to try that hard for a football party. This top is actually a workout apparel top that is perfect for a night out. When I posted this picture on my instagram, a TON of people asked what bra I was wearing. It’s quite simple people, a sticky bra! Honestly, I wear sticky bras with most of my outfits, I just like it more and like not having to worry about straps. Ok ok, you don’t need to tell me that your boobs are too big or there’s no way your boobs would stay up with a sticky bra. I get it. We all have different boob issues. So instead of stressing out about it, wear a sports bra with this top! I have! Find a bra you think is adorable and sport the sh*t out of it. Problem solved.

{ Splits59 Devon 3/4 Sleeve Top for $75 – Other colors on SALE for $30 now! | Flying Monkey Jeans from Inspyre Boutique | Lululemon Vinyasa Scarf for $50 – similar one here and here | Black Leather Jacket from Francesca’s for $60 – similar one here and here | Dolce Vita Leopard Print Flats from Nordstrom Rack for $40 – similar pair here | Kelly Moore Esther Bag for $200 }

I wore this outfit out to lunch with a friend who will soon be leaving Denver to travel the world. Pretty awesome. He had never been to True Food, so I recommended that since it’s all the rage for weird health nuts here in Denver. First off, at lunch he told me it was his birthday. I suck. Then we figured out that True Food absolutely hates red meat. Only lean meats there: chicken, turkey white fish. They do offer buffalo. So I got that. It was cold. And the sweet potato hash I got with it was burnt. Burnt sugar is probably the worst. It was a pretty big bummer. I don’t think I’ll be going back. I like to have the option of fatty meat, thank you very much. And I never want to take a friend out for a sh*tty birthday lunch.

Remember these boots? I got them for Christmas and I want to wear them all the time. You can style them up or style them down. They are just divine. And that’s all I have to say about that.

Oh, Hi! I’m Juli.

I’m a food hoarder. And a really bad dancer. If you don’t know me well, you will probably not understand my humor. Therefore, I apologize ahead of time. Thanks for listening to my ramblings of my ever-changing life and trusting my kitchen mishaps. Your trust in me is appreciated.

  1. I LOVE the backless shirt, but what on earth do you do about a bra? Or am I just banned from backless shirts until one glorious day when I can afford a breast reduction? 😉

  2. Love Fashion Friday, so glad it’s back! I think your style is great, but here’s the thing: if you didn’t have such an amazing figure, the clothes wouldn’t look nearly as good (especially the open back one!!). It’s the combination of style, amazing body and personality that makes you look amazing, and I guess it’s up to each of us to emphasize our own awesomeness, as you inspire us to do. (Bit of an ah-ha moment here).

  3. Where is the teal oversized clutch from in the last set of photos? I love it and have been looking for something that size forever!!

  4. HOT DAMN woman! You look gorgeous! So glad you’re feeling better. LOVE LOVE L-O-V-E the ripped-jeans-orange-shirt outfit. It’s my favorite too. AND, even though I’m not much of a lipstick girl, I dig that your lipstick matched your shirt!

  5. I recently experienced my first pair of Vigoss jeans. I swear to jeez they’re the first pair of jeans I’ve ever owned that felt like they fit, and didn’t require Steven Tyler high kicks to make comfortable.

  6. If you don’t mind me asking, what size do you wear in the Splits top? Just trying to decide on what size to order. Thanks!
