Hiiiiiii! I’m going to have to apologize ahead of time because this post will be short when it comes to explanations and little tidbits because I’m still soaking up every second of my wedding/honeymoon week in Jamaica and sitting on the computer just doesn’t sound like my favorite thing right now. But I leave for home tomorrow so I’ll get back to any of your comments or posts about my blog posts this week ASAP! Here is the outfit I sported while heading to Jamaica. Something you need to know about these wedges: they are the most comfortable wedges you will ever step foot in. Truly. So I linked a couple more cute pairs below.

First day in Jamaica included one of my favorite beach cover ups that’s only $10 and a purple swimsuit that has padding and underwire so it’s super comfortable and protective while galloping through the crystal clear water!

The first night I threw on this little mustard dress! Such a perfect dress for a beach vacation or a warm evening out since it drops so low in the front! And it’s super comfortable!

Now this swimsuit and cover up are absolutely amazing! And I’m very proud of myself for not getting any tan lines while frolicking at the beach that day! This suit has padding in it but no underwire but it still pushes everything up!

This little white and nude lace shift dress is such a fun summer dress! You could wear it with wedges or more relax with some sandals and either look would be adorable!

The day before our wedding, I couldn’t wait any longer to throw on my bride bikini that I bought over a year ago. Luckily, they are still selling it! And instead of clasping in the book, it clasps around the front right between the boobs and has great cups so the bikini top never moves and you’re always feeling secure, even in the Jamaica wind!

I lurrrrrv this dress! Just a warning, it plunges very low so you have to wear a pretty low bra or no bra at all! But the length is very modest so it all evens itself out!

After our wedding, I finally was able to pull out the cut out bikinis since I wasn’t worrying out tan lines anymore! I found this pair of bottoms on clearance so I haven’t been able to find them again, but the ones linked in the post have the same style bottom just in a solid color. I also linked a purple one!

{ Bikini Top | Beach Bag | Cover Up }

This may be my favorite bikini of the whole trip! It’s such a beautiful color and the cut outs sexy it up a bit. Ew, I said sexy it up. Gross. But you know what I’m saying. Right? RIGHT?! Ps be sure to check out the cover up because it ties in the front and stays secure while you’re off sailing on a catamaran!

I bought this off the shoulder top just for this trip and I love it so so much! And these shorts are by far the best shorts I’ve ever purchased! PS these sandals run a 1/2 size big!

Now I’m just quickly touching on my wedding dress because I’m planning to put together an entire post about the day and show you way more pictures. But since I only posted the back of my dress on instagram, I wanted to share a couple angles here! You guys, I have seriously never felt happier. That day was so amazingly, outstandingly perfect. Can’t wait to share more stories and photos (not from a cramped hotel room) once I’m back!

Oh, Hi! I’m Juli.

I’m a food hoarder. And a really bad dancer. If you don’t know me well, you will probably not understand my humor. Therefore, I apologize ahead of time. Thanks for listening to my ramblings of my ever-changing life and trusting my kitchen mishaps. Your trust in me is appreciated.

  1. OH and fashion question. I love the off-the-shoulder trend, but every time I try an off-the-shoulder top or dress, the shoulder part rides up until it is ON my shoulders. Not cute. How do you keep the neckline/sleeves where they are supposed to be? Am I just not finding the right pieces that stay where they should?

    1. sadly, you just don’t raise your arms up much. as simple as that lol. fashion sometimes comes at a price and this price is keeping your arms at your sides

  2. Juli, I can’t even with how gorgeous you are! You are my style icon – perfect mixture of crossfit strength and feminine chic!!

Question – what size did you get in that pink cutout maaji top? i have several maaji and find the tops run really small…thoughts?

    1. i bought a large! i buy all larges in their tops! That one cuts a little close compared to the other ones because of the cut outs but it still fits really well! i bounced all over margaritaville in jamaica without a nip slip!

  3. OMG you look amazing! Love all the swim suits and your body is on point! The dress is gorgeous, love the back! Congrats, congrats, congrats!

  4. Juli,

Congratulations! I wish you, Hubby and Jackson all the best in the years to come.
You are absolutely beautiful inside and out and an inspiration to so many.

  5. I’m super super excited to read all about the big day!!! Did you do your own makeup? It looks perfect.

I’m going to have to give those maaji swimsuits another try–I tried a few of them on and the padding was going in weird places and they didn’t have the right support. But there are sooooo many styles, I’ll see if I can find one with underwire this time!

    1. i did!! i bought all sorts of fun makeup for the big day and loved it all! and definitely try the ones with underwire, they fit way different!

  6. Congrats!!

Question about the yellow dress – what kind of bra are you wearing? If nothing, did you need tape/pasties/whatever or is the top lined? Thank you, ma’am !!

    1. i wore absolutely no bra or pasties with the yellow dress…i was pretty buzzed when i put that dress on since it was the first day in Jamaica haha but it really didn’t need anything since it’s double lined. but pasties wouldn’t hurt!

  7. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! We were married on the beach in Cancun and it was just beautiful and stress free!! You looked stunning! I guessed that you were going to were a two-piece wedding dress. Wrong! Your dress was beautiful on you as any dress would have been. Enjoy your new life!!

    1. isn’t it SO stress free? there was literally nothing to stress out about whatsoever! and you know what? i TOTALLY tried on multiple two piece dresses but never fell in love with any of them. i’ll just have to keep crop tops for my day to day life haha!

  8. so so happy for you and so glad the day ended up being perfect!! and how amazing are you for thinking of all your followers during your wedding week! you look absolutely stunning!

  9. Congrats Juli! I love the dress! Did you add the straps or did it come like that? I can’t decide if I want to add straps to my satin dress!!

  10. I still can’t get over how incredible you looked on your wedding day- your dress is perfection. I think I clicked on every single bikini/ cover up link too- SO CUTE!

  11. Thank you for sharing your happiness. Congratulations and may you experience that wonderful joy always as you start your new life!

  12. Gorgeous!!!! I am so happy for you!! (Also, you are such an inspiration – seeing you so fit and fabulous in your cute bikinis :)) Congratulations on your marriage!

  13. Juli- thanks for sharing those awesome pictures of your special time there.

Absolutely stunning! Your husband is one lucky man. And, tell him I said that! haha

You may have an issue in future fashion pics. Personally, I can’t see how you can outdo yourself after these. Then again, I am not a fashionista (or would it be a fashionisto?).

Bravo, and congrats once again to you both!

PS- and THANK YOU for all that you do!

  14. You are an absolute vision! And an inspiration – not sure I’ve ever seen abs like that on a real woman! You are the poster child for Paleo and Cross fit!

Congratulations to you and your new husband – may joy, good health and SO MUCH happiness continue to be yours for your lives!

And…I’m with Dave – thank you for all you do!

  15. Hi Juli!
I just wanted to ask, I followed the link of one of your swimsuit cover ups to Shein and just ordered some clothes from them. I went to like them on Facebook and a lot of the comments on their page were negative. What was your experience buying from them? I’m wondering if I should cancel my order. Thanks in advance!

    1. their site is pretty strange, but the things I’ve bought from them I really do love. there is one dress that I forgot to share and its my absolute for dress I’ve ever bought. so i would just be careful. the cover up i posted is great and easily worth $10! i would just check the other reviews about the items you purchased. more of the items i’ve bought them them are great, but there have been some duds for sure

  16. Hi Juli,

You looked absolutely stunning and so happy throughout your wedding and honeymoon! Congrats and wishing you and your new hubby the best!

I’m getting married in August and live in sunny South Florida and I have to ask how you go about finding all of these gorgeous swimsuits? What exactly are you typing in your google search!

Also, we’re honeymooning at a Secrets Resort in Mexico. My fiancé is an executive chef and I was wondering what you thought of the food they serve? I’m hoping they meet his high expectations!

Thank you for sharing such a special time in your life!

    1. I just tried one of the suits and then stuck with that brand. as for the white one, i just shop at revolve clothing a lot and found the white one. i just shop at sites that i trust and through other bloggers that i trust and have a similar frame to!

As for the food, it was pretty good. I had an awesome dinner at the french restaurant and italian restaurant (except the crispy duck wasn’t crispy) but I wasn’t very impressed by the smaller restaurants (they made me sick multiple times) or the breakfast buffet. And sadly the service was really bad. It took us AT LEAST 2 hours to get our food so I always ate beforehand to make sure I wasn’t starving before. Obviously food is always different at different resorts, but I’m guessing your executive chef fiance wouldn’t have been super impressed. I’ve been to other resorts (not secrets) that really impressed me so this one bummed me out a little bit. I don’t want to sound all snotty, just honest opinion and experience!

  17. You looked absolutely beautiful on your wedding day! What a perfect dress for a beach wedding: not too heavy, but definitely making a statement! Stunning! Congratulations. Isn’t Jamaica the best?!

  18. I was legit counting down the days until your wedding because I couldn’t wait to see the dress. And, as always, you look absolutely stunning. I love the low back! Congratulations to you and your hubby! I wish the best of things your guys way.

  19. So beautiful!! Thanks for letting us in on your special day 🙂

I know you’ve answered this before, but could you direct to me to the post about your transformation from Games training to where you are now? I hate how my body has changed since doing Crossfit and curious the path you took to get where you are now? I know part of this was due to the F’uck it mentality 🙂

  20. this looks so perfect, I hope that you are willing to share a bit more about the concept of the destination wedding etc… never been able to wrap my mind about getting married and I think it’s because of the absurd cost/stress ive observed from so many friends. But I am SERIOUSLY considering this.

    1. we did destination BECAUSE of the reduced cost and stress. a wedding here in colorado would easily cost minimum $30k, but we were easily able to stay under $10k for a week in Jamaica and to pay for our entire wedding and attire! i’ll talk more about it on the blog tomorrow though!

  21. Everything is gorgeous, especially you in your wedding dress! I don’t know if anyone inquired in the comments (too many to read) but I love the dress in the first pic you posted with the wedges! The link didn’t bring me to the dress…do you have the direct link? Many thanks! 🙂

  22. Congrats on your wedding! The resort looks familiar. Is it half moon bay? We love, love, love that place. It’s my favorite place in the carribean 🙂
Anyway you looked gorgeous on your wedding day. Wish you the very best in your marriage!!

  23. Congratulations! I literally left that resort April 9th- what are the odds????? Honestly! And the week I was there I followed your blog and thought to myself- wouldn’t that be soooo crazy if Juli came to this EXACT resort… Sad I didn’t get to meet you!

  24. Congratulations, Juli! It’s been so fun watching your journey! I’ve been married 15 years, but I still gush over a good love story. Wishing you much happiness! (You look incredible!)

  25. Congratulations! I’m glad you found the love of your life I’ve been following you for years and was wondering when someone was going to snatch you up! Destination wedding looked beautiful! We got married on Kauai and it was a dream come true.

  26. Congratulations, Juli! You worked really hard to get where you are today. You deserve good things. Best of fortune to you!

  27. Hi juli! Question for you regarding maaji swimsuits. Never tried them before. Usually get VS and yesterday I bought a new athleta bikini and am obsessed with the secure athletic fit.

    1) what size top and bottom did you get in the orange and pink bikini? I am a 32c and am wondering if I should get small or medium?

    2) do the suits feel secure enough for being tossed around in waves? Biggest prob for me is always nipple slip in bikinis… I need something more secure!

    3) I will probably only get the Orange OR the pink (money for both might be tight). I have dark Asian skin and am leaning toward the Orange. Which one did you like better?

Thanks and keep up the great recipes!!
    Vy lake

    1. 1. i’m a 34c/d and i got a size large in the top and medium in bottoms.
      2. some of their suits are secure enough to get tossed around but not all of them
      3. both are super different suits so i can’t recommend one. they are both amazing!

  28. Hi Juli! What size did you get those amazing denim shorts in? I’m trying to determine if they run true to size. Thanks!!

  29. Wow! Loved your wedding dress and all your fashion! You look fabulous! The resort does look really familiar to where I honeymooned. I stayed at the Secret Wild Orchid. Great place! Is that where you stayed or was it another Secrets?

PS. I am listening to your interview on GGW right now (my fave podcast!) … 🙂

  30. Juli…Congratulations, you are so beautiful and such an inspiration! I am just switching to a Paleo lifestyle now, after years of fighting my body instead of fueling it. And yeah, this girl loves getting down and dirty with some heavy barbells and hardcore WODs too. So, looking to try all of your drool-worthy recipes, and wondering if you think that instead of going crazy in the brain counting every little calorie/gram/macro, that a more simple plan would be to do three meals/two snacks a day…and see where I go with it. Any advice to share?????

  31. I just stumbled upon your blog and LOVE it. 🙂

Question for you – what size do you buy in the Maaji swim bottoms? Do you size up? I appreciate your input. Love you style

  32. That’s where we honey mooned! It was AMAZING and we cant wait to go back! PS: love all the picks, the clothes and you have the abs I want lol
