PaleOMG Fashion: Leather Jacket Looks

Wanna know some of the best advice I ever received? Wait for it. I was told that you can never have too many leather jackets. Obviously I need some better advice givers, but whatever. That person was completely correct. I believe I have 5 or 6 leather jackets hanging in my closet and you know what? I could use a couple more. I wear them all.the.time. And I’m not one to spend much money on a leather jacket so I don’t feel too bad about owning a few more. With Colorado weather, you can wear them in Summer, in Spring, in Fall and nowadays, in Winter. They work for every season and every outfit. Actually, I’ll probably be wearing one today before it snows almost 2 feet tonight. You silly Colorado, you.

Today’s post I’m sharing some of my favorite leather jacket looks as well as some leather jackets you can find on the world wide web! I’m sharing steals, deals and a couple splurges as well. Personally, I would never spend $300 on a leather jacket, but I’m a cheap ass. I’m still sharing those splurges just in case that’s more your style. I did my best at trying to find the most similar looks as possible, but if you find anymore, please feel free to share your finds in the comments!

Wait, before we get going…guess what? I just booked my first bridal boutique appointment to start trying on wedding dresses!! OMGOMGOMG. I’m so damn excited. Especially because it’s not in Colorado. No, I’m not going to Kleinfeld to try to be on tv…I wish…I’m actually going to Portland! My friend and I already had tickets booked for a little girls trip out there so we decided dress shopping was in order as well. Awwwww lawd I can’t wait. I’m planning on taking pictures of all the dress I try on to share on Fashion Fridays. Obviously I won’t be sharing the one I choose until after the wedding, but dress up days must be shared. AHICANTWAIT.

Just a random tidbit of unsolicited advice, I wouldn’t reccomend actually purchasing a dress in a different city, it’s a pain in the butt to have to travel for fittings, etc!! Even if you find one you love, see if there is a store closer that can order it for you!
    Sincerely,
Someone who bought their dress in a different city and was annoyed when she had to travel to pick it up and carry it through the airport to get it home 😛

    1. juli says:

thank you for the advice, that’s definitely a good thing to hear

      1. Courtney says:

I bought my dress in Boston, flew with it to Phoenix where I did all my fittings, and then flew back to New York with it where my wedding was..so dont worry too much about traveling with it! That is if you find “the one” in Portland. It’s not that big of a deal, and people at the airport will be extra friendly when they find out your hauling a wedding dress around with you:)

  2. Meagan says:

I always feel like I don’t have any “real clothes” because I spend all my money on hats and jackets instead but I’m in love with that turquoise jacket!!!

Before I got into finance I worked in a bridal boutique here in Boca Raton – – – I KNOW it sounds weird, but you will know “THE” dress once you put it on.

You’ll probably feel inclined to try on 500 more (and you should!) but you will almost ALWAYS go back to “THE” one.

Trust me – I’ve seen it a thousand times. 🙂

Enjoy this time – It’s sooo much fun – but seems to go by in a blink! Marriage is awesome too but this time goes so fast – so soak it up and take a ton of photos!

All the best to you and your Beau! And Jackson too, of course!

I can’t wait to see your bridal posts! I hope you will post some of the “loser” dresses just so we don’t have to wait so long!! lol

Honestly, dress shopping was sooooooooooo fun that I wish I could do it all over again!

I dunno if you’ve heard of BHLDN (anthropologie’s wedding brand) but they have seriously amazing dresses and other goodies like table accessories. I even have some of their votives on my work desk right now. They’re so dainty and pretty!

    1. Carol says:

Aaaannnnd now I’m hooked on BHLDN… BEAUTIFUL. Thanks for that! 😛

  5. Courtney says:

  7. Pip {Cherries & Chisme} says:

I wish your clothes were available in the UK! Either I need to plan an epic trip to the States or find someone over here with a similar style that I can steal ideas from!!

Love your blog, cookbooks (your recipes are so.good!) and your fashion, of course!! Loved this post -I just stumbled on to leather jackets this last year and love the and am always looking for a bargain so thanks for taking the time to share what you’ve found!

I don’t have great fashion sense and rely on lovely ladies like you to help me out but I did just find an app that lets you upload outfits and the part I find really helpful is search by article of clothing and a specifc color to get ideas! if anyone wants to check it out it is called chicisimo -I found it while googling for outfit help 😉

Thanks for creating fashion Friday’s -I look forward to it every week! …can hardly wait for wedding dress pics!
