Hi Juli! I just had to comment about Outlander. It is AMAZING!! It took me an entire year to read all the books (literally, all of 2017!) and they are so good. It’s such a great story. I love Tobias Menzies…he IS a great villain! But I love him as Frank even more 🙂 What can I say…I’ve always been attracted to smart, hot, professor types. I totally get the crush on Sam Heughan…Scottish men are HOT. David Tennant, Ewan McGregor, Richard Madden, James McAvoy…all yummy!
I’ve also got to tell you about my favorite true crime podcast…Let’s Go to Court. I just love it! I started listening with the Kim Kardashian divorce episode and haven’t stopped since. The ladies are two best friends since grade school. It is so hilarious and so uncensored (who else would confess to pooping in a Bed Bath & Beyond bag in the car?) Their rapport is similar to the gals on Wine & Crime. And woo-hoo to Season 2 of Dr. Death!
Oooh girl, Outlander! I was a late arrival as well, just finished the last episode of the latest season a couple weeks ago. It’s so good. So, so good. The Wedding Night episode is my all time favorite of any series, ever. LOL I recommend watching the horrific scene in question, of course you know your own limitations and certainly don’t do anything that’s going to result in trauma or triggering or anything like that, but it really does add perspective and appreciation for the events that take place after.
Also appreciate you speaking up about the negative effects of using alcohol as a coping mechanism.
Oh Juli! You have to watch the season one finale. It was some of the best acting I have ever seen. It was very gory but I closed my eyes a lot and held my boyfriend’s hand the entire time. I will NEVER watch that episode again though. One time is enough. It is truly horrifying. It makes you understand the relationship between the characters a lot better in future seasons and why certain ones hate the other so much.
And I agree about the sex scenes!! Super hot! He had to have had a boner! She was a Victoria’s Secret Angel and model before acting. I think that is why she is so comfortable being naked.
Juli! Had to come comment about how much I LOVE the Outlander show, especially Jamie! My husband and I started watching in March/April and I became sooooo obsessed with it. Like you said Jamie is truly an incredible man. He’s so freaking hot. He’s brave and fights for what he believes in. And he’s such a kind hearted and loving man. Ahh I just love him. The last episode of Season 1 is tough to watch, but I highly recommend you do or at least try to. You can always close your eyes or fast forward if needed. 😉 I saw on your Instagram stories that you started listening to the audio books. I also started reading the series and am on book 3! The books are SO good and I’m happy I dove into the book series.
