Ginger Tahini Cookies
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Cook Time: 13 minutes
- Total Time: 23 minutes
- Yield: 12-14 cookies 1x
Ingredients
- 1 cup tahini
- 1 cup maple sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup cassava flour
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together tahini, maple sugar and vanilla extract using a large spoon. Then add egg and mix again until well combined.
- Then add cassava flour, ground ginger, baking soda, salt and Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts then mix to combined.
- Use a cookie scoop to scoop out around 2 tablespoons of dough and make into a round ball. Place parchment paper lined baking sheet. This dough will create 15 cookies. Once you’ve placed all the dough onto the baking sheet, use a fork to only slightly press down each cookie dough ball.
- Place baking sheet into the oven and bake for 10-13 minutes until browned and slightly crispy.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes then move to cooling rack. Then eat up buttercup!

I love hemp seeds! I literally eat them every day, and they are actually a part of my hormonal seed cycling regimen — such an awesome ratio of omega 6 and 3!!!! I always add them to salads for texture, and because I am sensitive to a lot of nuts, I blend them with water to make my own DIY hemp milk. Always use this brand too ???????? ❤️ (Ps. Ginger cookies are my jam and I haven’t had one in years. Cannot wait to make these! Ginger + tahini sounds so dreamy. You’re so creative, girl)!
I love hemp hearts! I put them in everything; salads, on top of baked veggies, they are especially yummy on sweet potatoes or as a healthy kick to some pumpkin puree mixed with coconut milk as a great nighttime snack when I get a sweet tooth. Actually, hemp hearts help curb your sweet tooth. When I get a craving I reach for hemp hearts and basically sprinkle it on something or just get a tablespoon full with a little coconut oil and voila – no more cravings!
going to definitely bake up some ginger cookies..my fav. i sprinkle hemp hearts on my yogurt ! love them. I also take two of hemp oil tabs a day..eliminating any vitamin pills i used to take! Manitoba Hemp products are the best 🙂
I keep seeing these in the store, but have put off trying them. I want to try them in a smoothie bowl for breakfast or lunch times. These cookies sound amazing and can’t wait to try them!
I love hemp hearts. I would use them on top of my morning. Grass fed milk yogurt with some fruit. I wild also add them as a crunchy topping to the batter for some delicious Paleo banana bread. I love your recipes.
