I’m doing it. My very first giveaway. I’m so excited! I’ve never done one. But when the opportunity came up to spread the word about the Well Fed Cookbook by Melissa Joulwan of The Clothes Make the Girl, I couldn’t pass it up! If you haven’t seen her cookbook yet, which I’m guessing 96% of you have, you are missing out! Not only did Melissa self publish this book, but she did it incredibly well. The photography is magnificent, the recipes are different from what you’ll find in most paleo blogs, and her voice is wonderful. It’s an easy to read, easy to look at, and easy to love paleo cookbook, and there are definitely not enough of those out there…yet! The time and effort put into this cookbook shows and everyone should have it on their bookshelf OR sitting in the kitchen next to some bacon grease…like mine.
And one of the best things about this cookbook is that it is for all kinds of paleo eaters. If you are new to paleo and are looking to make something very simple, she has that. She talks about the importance of spices and easy ways to incorporate flavors into simple dishes. And if you are a paleo-pro, she has all kind of recipes and new ideas that will spark your interest. Ever heard of machacado? You have? Whatever. To me, it seems pretty fancy. But Melissa makes it so simple that a paleo-newb to a paleo-pro could enjoy every last bite of every recipe she has.
The Well Fed Cookbook brings the spirit of every culture into paleo cooking, and that is not something you find every day.
If there is one thing I love the most about this book, it’s that the author. Melissa is an incredibly good person. She is kind, caring, and incredibly thoughtful. When I emailed her asking a question about how she got started on the publishing train, she emailed me back within minutes. She cares for everyone and that’s a pretty amazing quality to have. I believe good things happen to good people and I hope that GREAT things happen to her.
But anyways, enough with the gushy stuff. Here is how to win the cookbook:

Done, done, done. WHOO!
Done and Done!
Never mind falling off the Paleo wagon… I recently crashed the wagon head first into a tree and smashed it into smitherines. (Go away spell check, that’s how you spell it!)
Anyways, I could really use some extra inspiration on top of PaleOMG and this looks like the perfect start to get me back on track and feeling better. (The crap food has unsurprisingly made me feel like total crap).
Fingers crossed 🙂

I started teaching a paleo cooking/nutrition class a few months ago! I’m helping ladies in my neighborhood to cook healthy, simple paleo meals!! Having another resource would be so helpful!!!!
Love your blog! Love Melissa’s blog! After months of considering paleo your blog is what inspired me to really make the switch. I would love the cookbook in hopes of making some more paleo deciousness and converting my family to the paleo life.
I looked through Well Fed a year ago before I had really started eating paleo. I loved the recipes and images! The recipes were easy to follow and used simple delicious ingredients. I would live to have my own copy!
Done, done, and (now) done! I would love to have this book. I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes in late June, and my nurse practitioner suggested the Paleo diet. I jumped on and haven’t looked back, despite my initial reaction, that was basically “NO BREAD WTF WHY DO YOU HATE ME.” I’ve lost about 20 pounds so far, feel better than I’ve probably ever felt, and have more energy than I can remember having. I go to the gym regularly, and plan to get one of your headbands when I’ve lost more of my fat suit. (I don’t think you want morbidly obese girls advertising your site.)
Thanks for hosting the giveaway. Your site is one of the best parts of my day. Does that make me a sad person?

I am overweight and have a friend who swears by Paleo; it’s done wonders for not only her physique but her persistent digestive problems as well. I would love the cookbook to jump start my journey.
This cookbook sounds great! I hope I win so I can try it sooner than later. I could definitely use some help in the kitchen.
I’ve spent years trying to battle the unhealthy habits my family passed down to me (along with the autoimmune diseases that came with). Simply eating “healthy” and working out isn’t enough for me. I’ve recently discovered Paleo and my boyfriend and I (he’s super supportive) have decided to make the lifestyle change to Paleo. I am already aware of why it’s even healthier than how I eat now and I’ve tried some recipes on this site and loved it. In addition, we are both starting strength training at a local gym and we’ve found a really great trainer who knows what he’s doing to help up out of the kindness of his heart. We’d really love this cookbook to start out with 🙂
