Hopefully you’ve heard through the social media world about my new exciting news, but if you haven’t, here it is. George Bryant from Civilized Caveman and I are writing a cookbook!!!! Yayyyy! So all these times I’ve been traveling to California for a project has all been for creating this cookbook. It’s pretty cool. I’ve never worked on a cookbook with someone else. I mean, I’ve only written one other one, so having another person to bounce ideas off of and collaborate with has been pretty awesome.
So let’s first talk about the book. Because the final product is always way cooler than the process. First off, our book is already ready for preorder on Amazon which is wicked since it launches June 10th, 2014. The book is going to be filled with over 100 recipes ranging from appetizers, to entrees, to desserts, to snacks, and even delicious breakfasts that any one of your family members will love. Here is a little sneak peek of some of the recipes that will be in the book:
- Sage and Shallot Delicata Squash Soup
- Citrus Mint Sugar Salad
- Blackberry Lavender Muffins
- Banana Chip French Toast
- Creamy Seafood Risotto
- Pepper Crusted Prime Rib
- Asian Marinated Bacon-wrapped Asparagus
- Spinach and Artichoke Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms
- Blueberry Cheesecake
- Lime Pound Cake with Coconut Lime Frosting
The risotto and the lime pound cake are some of my favorite recipes so far. The cookbook will also include photos for every recipe, all photographed by George, and will have tricks and helpful information to keep you straying from the paleo route. I can promise you, these recipes will help you from ever getting bored when it comes to your weekly meals. I know, because I’ve tasted all of them.
This brings me to the process of our book. The cool thing is, we are still in the process of it. I go to George’s house in California every few weeks, we make 20-30 recipes in a week, then I head back home for a few weeks and hate cooking for a while. Making 6 or so recipes a day can get exhausting. I’m not complaining because I get to eat all of it, but cooking loses it’s thrill at times. But I’m still trying to come up with wonderful recipes for you all on the blog while I create this cookbook with George. And now that we’ve announced the book, I’ll be able to post some teaser pictures about what will be in our book. Wanna see a couple real quick?? OK DEAL.
And if you’ve read the blog recently, you know I’m in Pittsburgh. George and I came out here to stay with Bill and Hayley from Primal Palate. They used this awesome company called Sho Films who filmed their cookbook promo video as well as their wedding. So we flew right on over and filmed our video. Wanna see the outtakes?? Sure ya do!!
Now head over to Amazon and check out our book!! If you pre-order the book on amazon, you don’t pay until it releases and you get locked in at the lowest price it ever hits on Amazon. So if it says $26 right now and next week it drops to $15, you only pay $15 unless it goes lower but you’ll never pay higher!! Rad, huh?? So rad.
Ordered it! Looking forward to June!
