Breakfast can get so boring. Don’t let it happen to you! Eat this along side some eggs and bacon!

How was your Valentine’s day? I don’t know how I feel about the extra romantic Valentine’s day deal. Personally, having my guy make meals on Wednesdays when I have to work late, always taking out the trash, and continuously doing my dirty dishes, is romantic. Those little things mean way more to me than presents. Or flowers. I kind of hate flowers. Why would you give a person something that dies when you can give chocolate? Whatevs. We did have Valentine’s Day breakfast at Snooze. The couple next to us reminded me of the first scene in Bridemaids when she is hooking up with that asshole guy and the he says, “This is so uncomfortable…I really want you to leave.” That’s what the couple seemed like. She laughed so loud at his jokes and he made fun of her the whole time. It made for an uncomfortable hour. My fiancé thinks they were brother and sister but I stand firm on my belief that they were lovers.

Anywho, we didn’t really get to see each other much this Valentine’s Day. He had to work an event so after breakfast at Snooze, I tried to be productive. Look at how productive I was:

  1. Workout
  2. Couch
  3. Twilight
  4. Twilight 2
  5. Modern Family
  6. more Modern Family
  7. Eat
  8. Make chocolate caramel bark
  9. Eat too much chocolate caramel bark
  10. Twilight 3
  11. Go to sleep because I’m disappointed with my productivity

Sooooo yeah. I was not productive at all. And it wasn’t even snowing that day. I’m pretty sure it was 70 degrees and THAT’S what I did. Like I said, Vday is overrated, so I did the most underrated things possible. Protesting against the system, ya know.

Anyways, let’s talk about real love. The bachelor love. Did you watch the last 2 days of it? Yes, two days. Ratings must be through the rough if they keep adding more episodes. Here’s the thing though, they’ve officially kicked off all of the crazies. What’s the point in watching if the crazies aren’t doing their weird crazy stuff? And whose giant purple lips am I suppose to stare at since he kicked Britt off? I really wish I knew what lipstick she wears. And who is going to make fun of other girls if Carly is gone? Now we have to listen to mouse voice girl a lot more. Now don’t get me wrong, she seems very kind and her voice isn’t as annoying when Chris isn’t around, but when he walks in the door, dogs come arunnin’.

Poop. I have a flat tire. I need to go get my life together.

I’ve been way too invested in the bachelor this season as well. I’m just ready for him to pick someone boring so that Kaitlyn can be the next bachelorette because she’s too awesome for him. I also read that Britt gets her lipstick at CVS for $1.99 which made me really, really happy.

Hi Juli- a lot of your recipes use almond flour. I am allergic to nuts so I substitute usually with part coconut(no issues with that thank goodness!) and tapioca. Do you know of any other flours that I could substitute with? Also, I just have to say all your recipes I have tried are fantastic! I have been paleo only 5 months and your cookbooks and blog have helped me so much. My husband even says I have become quite the cook. I defintely enjoy cooking much more now. So thank you!

Oh my gosh. I died hearing your description of the couple next to you at Snooze. My husband and I always like to look at other couples when we are out to dinner and guess how long they have been dating (or if it’s a first date) or how long they’ve been married haha. First dates are the BEST to watch 😉 Oh and I can’t wait to try this recipe!! Looks delish and I love mixing protein powder into things!
