Hi Juli! The virginity stories were SO GOOD and so cringy, yet funny and very relatable. I always relate to you when you talk about opting out of drinking alcohol. I know in past podcasts you’ve shared reasons why you don’t love to drink and I share many of the same reasons. Waking up with a hangover from a few drinks is infuriating and I NEVER feel great about myself or my body when I do drink. I hate wasting a day when I have things I want to do. My husband sounds a lot like yours…he loves to drink and have a good time with people. It’s awesome to hear that your husband understands your goals and sticks up for you! I’ve been in several situations like you talked about and it can be really frustrating. Anyways, I truly appreciated your story about that and your encouragement to stick with your goals even when no one else understands. Thank you!

I just want to say this episode made me laugh out loud and my husband came in to check on me because he was worried. I also wanted to thank you for being honest about why you don’t drink often. I don’t drink much either and my husband’s family owns bars and liquor stores so..yeah, I don’t drink like they do. I rarely get a hangover but I get so bloated and alcohol messes with my sleep so much that I just don’t indulge much. My husband loves beer and can somehow still have a defined stomach at 43 years old even though he has a beer every damn day. He sticks up for me when I don’t drink much and he’s still super hot even though he’s a freaking grandpa. Thank you for your recipes- we use them a lot!

I loved all the randomness of this podcast, the stories and the pressures of drinking. I hope to tap into some of that strength you have in this area. It really frustrates me that people think the reason you talk about giving is to sell more. My husband and I did a giving goal of $10k over 2 years ago and finally 2020 we accomplished that goal! I wanted to scream from the mountains but I was in fear of the backlash of people thinking I’m bragging, yada yada. We just celebrated between the two of us and left it at that. We need more people like you in this world because little acts of kindness change our world. I celebrate you and love you even more for making a difference in your little part of the world!

Giving $10K is awesome. That’s so cool!

Ummm are we a match made in heaven?! Regarding alcohol and some social events I seriosuly feel like an outsider all the time. Whenever I listen to your podcast I feel like we could be bffs in a diff life (or at least if we didn’t live in diff states lol). Thanks for expressing how you stand up and make choices for yourself. Super inspiring! And love a good spouse story. I’m so glad you have Brian on your side, it can make a world of difference.

Lol! This episode had me cackling to myself and blushing all at once. Like how do we all have so many awkward shared experiences that we never talk about?!

Also, I love your giveback idea. As someone who works for a nonprofit, it’s actually a dream to have someone with a reputable brand wanting to host a giveback. It’s usually new brands trying to reach out to us to promote their products in exchange for the giveback… which is a whole different issue in itself when it comes to charities.

Anyways, an idea from a nonprofit perspective is that you could set up a nomination form to be the featured beneficiary for the quarter and your followers and/or the nonprofits themselves could apply. That way you can get more info than just an IG poll and thoughtfully choose one that really resonates with you!

    Love the pod!

I love your podcast, I love listening to your “bullshit” as you say. I truly enjoy listening to your randomness over when you plan out a guest. It’s a nice break from everything else. I look forward to it every weekend and I’m sad when you don’t put out a new podcast. I don’t get to consume all of your stories on Instagram because I avoid social media so I love my weekend Juli dose. I love that you are different and you own it, it encourages me to do the same. You are amazing and inspiring. Thank you for sharing your life with us and inspiring me to get the most out of everyday by doing whatever makes ME happy!

I lost my virginity at 15 after i had finially made my First Holy Communion! It had been put off for various reasons over the years,so at 15,my parents and great aunt had me do it.I was in the class with the 2nd graders[7 year olds] so my parents and GA dressed me the same as the little girls in my class in a poofy, short sleeve, knee length communion dress and veil with lace anklets and the white patent leather shoes.Under my dress they had me wear a white tee shirt and a cloth diaper with plastic pants over it just like the little girls wore. I felt cute and little girlish in the outfit and everyone told me how cute i looked! After my party was over my boyfriend Jason, who was 16,took me to his house so we could be alone,as his parents were out of town.We were kissing when he put his hand up under my communion dress and felt my diaper and plastic pants and asked me why i was wearing them and i told him my parents had me wear them to be like the little girls. He got very aroused and unzipped my dress and pulled it off of me and fully saw my tee shirt and the diaper and plastic pants! Next thing i knew,he had his pants and under shorts down and got me to my knees and made me give him oral sex! After that,he led me to his bedroom and we got on his bed.He pulled my plastic pants down and off, then unpinned my diaper and removed it.He got on top of me and took my virginity! I felt ashamed afterwards that i let it happen!
