MARGARITAS!!! Who doesn’t love a good margarita? Oh wait, I don’t. I like my alcohol to not taste like alcohol. I recently had a pineapple habanero margarita and I couldn’t taste the alcohol because my throat burned so bad. I liked that margarita a lot. But after writing my first cookbook with no alcohol and my second cookbook with no alcohol, I felt like I was discriminating. Just because I’m not a fan of alcohol doesn’t mean other people aren’t, get over yourself Juli. So for my newest and best cookbook yet, Juli Bauer’s Paleo Cookbook, shares a handful of cocktails for all you cocktail lovers out there. Including this one.

If you’re like me, tequila includes some rough memories. Well, this sweet margarita doesn’t smell or taste like poor tequila decisions. It tastes like summertime, patios, and laughter. Yep, that’s just what it tastes like. If you love fruity cocktails, you’re going to LOVE this one. But you’ll also find a bloody mary recipe, a gin and tonic recipe AND a pomegranate moscow mule all in my new book! So if you’re worried about never being able to enjoy cocktails again, don’t you worry, I got yo back!

I cannot wait to get your cookbook in a few weeks. I will be making this drink. I cooked the cod with nectarine/peach salsa and it was delish.

I have one rough tequila memory, and one tequila non-memory. Pretty sure I’m glad I don’t remember the second one!
But just to prove I don’t get smarter with age, I will definitely be trying this recipe!!!

  7. Sara Wilson says:

The key to a good margarita is to use nothing but Patron. That recipe looks delicious.

  8. Ashleigh says:

Made these for company during a recent heat wave and they were a huge hit! I did add some ice to the blender to help keep them extra cold…and that seemed to work very well. Delish!

  9. Miss Polly says:

Saw you today on the Home & Family show. Great job & may I say you are a beatiful person! My health is forcing me to look at a healthier eating style. Pretty sure it has been badly damaged by gluten. I am most likely gluten intolerant. Anyway, friends & family are trying to help me & support me in getting healthier & making better choices. They have shared the Paleo style with me & let me just say, it is a very hard process for me. I am trying…I love pasta & bread sooooo. But then a silver lining came to me when I found this yummy recipe cause my other love…MARGARITAS!! So thank you, I can now take this Paleo thing seriously!????

    1. juli says:

so so glad to hear it! it took a banana bread recipe for me to say “ok, i can give this diet a shot”!you’re gonna love it!

  10. Tracy Johnson says:

I should have known 6 ounces of liquor was too much for two drinks, but Ive had so much success with your other recipes that I didn’t even think about it. Cutting the liquor in half would make them much more palatable.

    1. juli says:

haha sorry they were too strong for ya! i don’t even like the taste of alcohol so i’m surprised you found these too strong when i didn’t at all!
