Special Announcement: Come to Costa Rica With Me!!

This week is about to start off on a great note. You know why? First of all, because I want you to come to Costa Rica with me. Secondly, because I start doing giveaways every week for PaleOMG readers starting tomorrow. And third, because I’m going to begin sharing some sneak peek recipes from my newest cookbook, Juli Bauer’s Paleo Cookbook! So much going on and so much to celebrate!

But let’s start with the most relaxing and exciting thing yet: Costa Rica. Have you ever been? I haven’t. But I’ve wanted to plan a trip like this forever, but stars just weren’t aligning when I had tried to plan it in the past. Until now! A couple months back, I was chatting with my friend Adam of BodeeFit. He started telling me about the trips he had been on to different areas and how incredibly fun they were. These trips included workouts on the beach, yoga on a paddle board at sunset, partner workouts, chats about helping the important people in your life learn to love to workout, and all kinds of other things like finding secluded beaches to hang out at, trying the local cuisine, getting massages, getting a tan, and pretty much anything else you would want from a beach trip. As he told me about his experiences and how incredibly great they were, I knew I wanted in. And I knew Costa Rica was the place I would want to go and have PaleOMG readers come with me!

Soon after Adam told me all about these trips, he got me in contact with Matt from Under 30 Experiences. This guys puts together amazing trips for people who are looking to try new things, meet new people, and see the world from a new place. We recently did a podcast together and it got me even more excited to head to Costa Rica and chat with others about their experiences. He’s actually in Peru right now. So jealous.

So here’s the deets about this upcoming trip to Costa Rica:

  • 20 people can come on this amazing trip to Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica from January 20-24, 2016
  • The trip includes 5 day/4 night in double accommodations
  • Meals include 5 healthy breakfasts and 4 dinners – we’ll grab lunch while we’re out at the beach
  • CrossFit style workouts on the beach and other exercise classes such as yoga and surfing
  • Exploring beaches and local areas with your new friends on the trip!

The price of the trip is $1195, unless you sign up before 9/9/15 then it’s only $995, plus your own airfare. The trip includes accommodations for pick up and drop off at San Jose Airport.

So whatcha think? You wanna go? I sure as hell do! Think about the middle of January, the dead of winter when you’re so sick of the snow that you could just scream. How perfect will this trip be? Based on everyone’s experience with these trips in the past, it’s going to be amazing. If you want to join me in Costa Rica, click here to sign up and do it while the price is cheaper AND while there are still spots left!

Oh, Hi! I’m Juli.

I’m a food hoarder. And a really bad dancer. If you don’t know me well, you will probably not understand my humor. Therefore, I apologize ahead of time. Thanks for listening to my ramblings of my ever-changing life and trusting my kitchen mishaps. Your trust in me is appreciated.

  1. I’ve never been to Costa Rica, but spent my honeymoon in neighboring Nicaragua (just blogged about part of it… shameless plug :D). It was an awesome trip! This looks like so much fun.

  2. Manuel Antonio is beautiful! I just got home from surfing from N. Nicaragua to S. Costa Rica and M.A. was one of my favorite stops! Monkeys everywhere, they even have monkeys bridges over roads so they can cross safely. El Avion is a must, the “Painkillers” (Rum, coconut, pinapple etc) are delicious and the view at sunset is perfect. Coco beach is about 4 hours north but definitely worth the trek, good waves 🙂

  3. Is this strictly for women? Or would it be a cool thing to do as a couple with my boyfriend? He would probably feel a little awkward if he was the only guy!

  4. This sounds amazing! I am so jealous! I am in grad school right now and cannot afford it but you are such an inspiration and really hope you can do this again in the future when I am out!

  5. Found a similar trip via @BeeTheWellness and was thinking, “Is that the same trip??” So I came back to this post and realized it wasn’t. I decided I liked the sound of this trip better, so I followed up and it’s sold out… womp womp. 🙁 I shouldn’t have hesitated and just booked the dang thing, but I was worried about crossfit style workouts (I’m more of a pilates girl). Next time!

  6. OH POOOOOO I’m reading this way too late! Do you think you’ll do another retreat like this anytime soon? Pretty Pleeeeeeeeeease!

    1. hoping so! going to see how this one goes and go from there! i’ll definitely keep you updated on the site so be sure to keep checking in since this one sold out in a week!!
