Spring Outfit Round-Up

It’s Friday which means it’s time to begin to panic while I finish up all the odds and ends before I leave for France tomorrow. I can’t believe I’m finally going to Europe for the first time! What the hell, Juli! I’m about to head out to shoot some photos for the blog, then to a workout, then it’s pack pack pack! But before I get out of here, I wanted to share all my latest looks from instagram! I got all kinds of spring inspiration for you in this post! When I look at this photo, I see happiness. This was the first Monday after my husband quit his job and it made for the best Monday ever! We ran errands together, we had lunch together, we did some chores together. Just simple couple things that I’ve never been able to do with him in the 3 years we’ve been married. He also took this photo. He’s my new photographer…not by choice. I love this outfit so much, I might be packing most of it with me to France! And the jacket is on sale right now!

I wore this outfit to the first day of a conference in Utah last week. This color of this jumpsuit is AMAZING! But if pink isn’t your color, it also comes in blue, black and red! I would definitely recommend sizing down in this. I’m almost always a size small in Express and I wish I would have bought this one in an XS. And also, don’t wear this to a conference where you’re sitting most of the day and continually drinking water. It’s a dangerous gamble and sitting naked in a public stall while hovering over the toilet is never enjoyable.

This is a look I’ll probably be sporting in France next week. I’m packing ALL the joggers. Who wants to wear jeans when they are stuffing their face with French pastries, am I right?! I cannot get enough of these pink joggers. Every time I wear them, I get compliments! Just be sure to size up. I normally wear a size 4 in  lululemon leggings and needed a size 6 in these!

Date night out look! This was the look I wore out to dinner with my husband when we were celebrating. All we wanted was some champagne and delicious oysters. We got neither. I did, however, have an old man feel up my back. Talk about a romantic date night! I’m loving these shorts because they don’t ride up and they cover all of the bum without feeling too long! I’m thinking about buying them in a couple different colors since they are BOGO 50% off!

This was another look I wore while in Utah. And this is a look I wish I could wear every single day. High waisted, wide leg, lots of boob. I’m into it. In these pants, I went up a size and then I also purchased them in long. They dragged on the floor a bit and I may have tripped once, but it was totally worth it. I love them so much. I don’t even think I’ll hem them. I’ll just take my chances!

This was another business b*tch look in Utah! It’s been so fun playing dress up and acting like I don’t wear pajamas all day every day. Loving these high waisted culottes for a business casual look! They are super comfortable and they come in 5 different colors, if coral isn’t your thing! Again, wearing a bodysuit to a conference where all I’m doing all day is drinking water is probably a bad idea. Just warning you now.

Remember that one time that I went on book tour with my friend and fellow author Vanessa? She’s the best. And she was in Denver this past weekend so I took her on a quick little tour to eat arepas, grab drinks, then eat all the spanish food we could fit. I wore this look on a rootop patio after sipping on a mocktail. Staying away from alcohol is easy when the bar you go to has mocktails. I’m into it.

Errrmerrrgerrd I love this dress! Summer dresses that tie around the waist but don’t hug around the hips are my jam. Especially ones that don’t blow up in the wind. That’s a problem in spring that I don’t want to have. This dress comes in 4 different colors AND it has pockets. What more do you need?!

I wore this look in Utah when we were heading out to a fun little dinner with a ton of other food bloggers. I seriously freaking love this high waisted paperbag shorts trend this year. These shorts stay in place no matter how many times you get up to go to the bathroom after drinking multiple mocktails. Utah loves mocktails. And hates alcohol. It’s an odd place to be, but I dug it.

A few weeks ago we had a backyard BBQ with a bunch of friends to celebrate my husband quitting his job and me getting older. I wore this button up cami dress for the day and threw the denim jacket on at night once it cooled down outside. It would have been a perfect night if our friend didn’t puke in our backyard and on our chairs. Luckily he didn’t puke on this dress. Because I LOVE it. And I want it in the 4 other colors it comes in!

Can we just give my husband a quick high five for taking this photo before we went out to dinner one night? He’s become so helpful so now I don’t have to ask a stranger on the street and lie to them by saying I’m sending a photo to my mom. Totally normal.

Another husband photo. He’s such a gem. This is a look I could wear all summer long. I LOVE skirts in summer time and this one is slightly stretch and the perfect mini skirt length!

Someone told me that this look was not doing me any favors. And you know what’s funny? I put this outfit on and I told my husband that I felt so great in it. And even after I got that comment, I still felt great in it. This year I decided to work on my confidence and I definitely wasn’t going to let that confidence go out the window from some random person. If you feel good in something you wear, walk with your head held high and do the damn thing. You deserve to feel good every single day in whatever you are wearing!
