So I went to Lululemon the other day and bought some new Wunder Unders. It’s pretty much the only thing I workout in because I’m not one to sport shorts. Shorts seem to be either too snug in the waist or too short in the legs, so I stick with Wunder Under capris. Well, I already have 3 pairs so I thought I should invest my gift card in a 4th pair since they are so overly priced. Wellllll, I’m a little peeved. You know how they had this huge issue with some of their pants being see through? Well, mine aren’t TOTALLY see through, but definitely a bit more visible than the other 3 I have. I dislike it. I’m totally still going to wear them, but as a coach at the gym, I feel as though I probably shouldn’t be squatting with these things on. I can’t tell you how many thongs and bare ass cheeks I see on a regular basis because squatting to full depth in spandex usually shows everything. It’s kind of creepy. But also awkward to tell those people I can see everything when they are squatting properly.

This conversation just got weird.

You know what’s so weird? When dogs look like their owners. Or is it when owners look like their dogs? I don’t know. But it happens a lot. That weirds me out. If I ever decide to take care of a living animal, I will make sure it does not look like me. Just FYI.

I hate when I can’t sleep and end up watching HGTV until 2 in the morning while snacking on Cracked Cookie Dough Nut Butter until infomercials come on. I hate infomercials. All I wanted to watch was Love it or List it and you’re trying to sell me some miracle water that rids your body of inflammation. I do not believe you. What I do believe is I turned on HGTV to watch house things. Like how to make a lamp from butchers block. Or how make a chair from an old door. Those are two things I’ve never actually seen, but I’m sure it’s possible. Anything is possible on that network. And I feel like watching HGTV instead of the Food Network keeps me from getting hungry constantly. Except when it’s 2 in the morning and I can’t put my cookie dough butter down. Sh*t that stuff is good.

Oh and before you go, let’s talk about weekend plans. I’m totally going to the farmer’s market this weekend. It’s one of my favorite places to go. Mostly because it has my favorite food truck, Quiero Arepas, and it’s good people watching. Then I think I’ll go to the park, to do more people watching. And get my tan on. Everyone likes a nice bronze. Everyone. That’s all I got. Kbye.

Now I want to squat with my ass facing a mirror to check all my workout pants aren’t see through 🙂

  2. Lisa Pate says:

Lorna Jane – you CAN NOT see through them at all, and they are awesome. I often wonder if I should tell the girl squatting in front of me that I can see her butt ?? what’s the protocol??

  3. Amber @ Another Triathlon Blog says:

NICE! I’ve been looking for something other than Gu and Honey Stinger sh*t waffles to take on long training rides. Will definitely give these a try and pass along to my bike gang.

Feel free to mail me some of these bars. My food processor blew up and I have been too cheap to buy a new one.

Hey Juli, do you have any nut free granola recipes? I searched the site and couldn’t find one. I can use one with nuts, but just was curious. Thanks!

Your blog is amazing! My brother and best friend tried explaining Paleo to me forever and one day it just finally clicked! Your blog was one of the first ones I found and look forward to reading it daily. I absolutely love your cookbook, btw!! It’s always a constant struggle with me though to just eat good…why is giving into temptations so annoying! Ugh! I know the right foods to eat and why, but yet I find myself give in at times when I know better, then hate myself for it, and my insides throw a fit. I want to start a blog, or at least a journal and just get my thoughts down and maybe that’ll help me stay on point. Anyway, back from my rambling, I think that’s why I love your blog so much because your rambling, I LOVE! It’s what I do…clearly. Thanks for being you and being a real girl! You’re simply amazing!

My Pilates instructor made a PSA about the pervasiveness of see-thru pants in class and said “I’m not going to tell you about it if *I* see it happening, so girls – just find a good friend to check your butt!”

what kind of protien powder do you use/recommend? I’m always confused, i know no soy, isnt whey part of dairy? Also allergic to mushrooms, so usually plant protiens dont work for me.

    1. juli says:

some people eat whey still, some don’t. i like formulx whey protein powder

I have not had the pleasure of trying the Lulu capris yet but have seen ladies wearing the ruffled butt skorts and someone said that it was made by Lulu and that she saw why they were so expensive because they actually stayed where they were supposed to. Glad to know that others actually have those same issues to deal with. FYI Never wear lgt gray compression shorts! I battled with, to tell or not to tell, that you can totally see sweat ass crack to a poor woman at our gym. However, back to the paleo bars… they really do look good and will totally try them. We are going to try paleo diet to get ready for an upcoming event and see if it makes a difference.
