Two desserts this week. You smart people are excited. You dessert nazis are annoyed. Haters. Well luckily, this dessert has no added sugar in it. So really, it could just be a side dish for all you people who hate desserts and deny yourself happiness. And if you’re doing the sugar detox like me, this is a perfect dessert for you. If you aren’t doing the sugar detox, you are a much happiner person AND are lucky because you can add honey and chocolate chips to make it stupid good. You b*tches.
That paragraph was all over the place.
So this dessert is made from carrots. Obviously. Carrots are slightly sweet. That’s why some genius out there started making cakes from carrots. Have you ever tried my carrot cake cupcakes? HOLY BALLS. Maybe one of my favorite desserts. Maybe. Anywho, on this sugar detox, I can still have carrots. Woot woot. Puree that sh*t. Add some to vanilla to that sh*t. And love that sh*t. That’s what I did. Like a kid in a candy shop. And I hear carrots are good for your sight. I can see through walls now. Fact.
I kinda miss Drew Barrymore in movies. I like her.
Wanna know something gross? I have a scab on my inner thigh from rope climbs. And now it’s peeling off. It’s a blessing in disguise that I can’t fit into jeans because that could get real uncomfortable. I don’t know why I’m telling you this.
Guess what I have for you…A COOKING VIDEO! So exciting!

I’m on day 3 of my first time sugar detox and this pudding is saving my life! Juli thank you so much for making it fun & easy to go Paleo and for posting sugar free recipes!!
I don’t know if anyone noticed or commented but ….you licked the spoon and put it back in the food processor. I am so not eating at your house.
By the way, you are a good dancer…don’t sell yourself short!
Thanks for this website and all you do!
Tanya
You absolutely crack me up. I have similar dance moves, but I don’t look as cool as you, haha! We also cook very similarly: without measuring and surely licking the stirring spoon often. 🙂
Thank you for that! Very informative and funny at the same time! You are know tied for my favorite blogger (with Cave Girl Eats)!
Love the video. got my morning giggle in..
How many servings would this be? roughly?
probably about 3-4
even though the coconut butter explanation was super long, I totally needed that haha! I couldn’t bring myself to spend $13 on a jar at the store, but now I know I can just make it myself duh, why didn’t I think of that?! Totally trying this 21 DSD when I get home.
Oh and sick arms girl! rockin it 🙂
I gave up sugar over a yr ago and so glad I did! Feel so much better! This looks yummy! Love your blog!!!
I love raw carrots but I am not a fan of cooked carrots. I am on the 21 day sugar detox. Do you think I will still enjoy this recipe?
yes
This is such a great idea – who needs sugar, right? No wait…. I’ll slurp up that maple syrup on the bottom of your plate…. I’m trying! And lately I do well except during yet another sugar-ful holiday. Thanks for this recipe – it will help me be STRONG!
I’m doing the sugar detox, and this was amazing!! Tasted better than some desserts I’ve had.
