Testing Out 100 Percent Pure Makeup & Skincare
I’ve dabbled in different clean beauty over the years, but I’m no purist. I like to find what works best for me and if it turns out that it’s free of toxins and chemicals, then I’m even more on board. I’ve found with some previous clean beauty brands, the makeup doesn’t last as long throughout the day or the skincare products just aren’t as effective. But when 100 Percent Pure contacted me about trying their products, I thought I would give it a try. And I’m so excited to say that I really loved the makeup and the skincare! I tried 4 different products and all 4 are now part of my daily routine!
100 Percent Pure is all about natural, PURE, and cruelty-free products. Natural to them means “An ingredient or formula composed of plant, mineral, and/or marine vegetation that undergoes chemical changes due to biological processes such as fermentation, distillation, and cold processing.” Their makeup and skincare will never contain harsh chemicals or toxic ingredients, and they source pigments from fruit, vegetables, tea, and cocoa. You’ll see fruit pigmented in many of their foundations, lipsticks, and eyeshadows. And 100 Percent Pure not only wants to improve the lives of people, but they are looking after animals, as well. Like I said before, their products are cruelty-free, but they also donate with every sale. At checkout, you can choose that your donation goes to a meal donated to a shelter dog OR trees donated through their partnership with Trees for the Future. Pretty awesome. I just love this so freaking much, especially the pup part!!
The Fruit Pigmented Full Coverage Water Foundation was the first thing I tried. I’m always on the hunt for the right foundation and I’m constantly trying different brands depending on the season and how my skin is acting that month. Even though I chose the wrong color since we are heading into summer where the sunless tanner is flowing, which means I need a much darker shade, I LOVE this foundation. It gives really great coverage, leaves the skin looking dewy without that overly shiny look, and it won’t dry the skin out. The Water Foundation has ingredients like aloe and green tea to hydrate and soothe the skin, and fruit extracts like peach, pomegranate, carrot, apricot, and more. Did you have any idea makeup could be made from plant extracts? I had no idea. I feel out of the loop. And the Water Foundation comes in 19 different colors to help you find the perfect tone for your skin. Plus, one of the best parts is that a little goes a looooong way! I use less than a dime size on my entire face and it gives me all the coverage I need!
The next product I tried was their Fruit Pigmented Pretty Naked Palette. It includes a pink champagne (the color I use the most), peachy nude blush, pale pink-nude, taupe-grey, and bronze-chocolate colors. The pink champagne is great for a highlighter, but I prefer to use it on my eyes to bring a nice bright shimmer to the eyes! No matter what color you choose, you’ll be happy to know that each shade is colored by using fruit and vegetable pigments! No synthetic dyes and definitely no testing on animals!
And when I decided to give 100 Percent Pure a try, I chose two skincare products based on my own skin needs. I was quickly drawn to the Rose Hyaluronic Acid Serum and Vitamin C Serum. I’ve shared my dry skin woes on the blog and what I’ve found that has worked for me, so I wanted to make sure I was packing in as much moisture as possible while I still live in this Colorado dry climate. The Rose Hyaluronic Acid Serum is HELLA hydrating. If you deal with extremely dry skin, I can’t recommend this product enough. This serum makes your skin feel so supple and hydrated. Just be sure to let it fully dry before putting makeup on top or the makeup may set a little strange.
I’m also a HUGE vitamin c fan so I, of course, had to try 100 Percent Pure’s Vitamin C Serum. I strongly believe Vitamin C should be part of everyones skincare routine. Not only will vitamin c help brighten the skin and fade hyperpigmentation and redness, but it also will help even out skin tone, promote collagen, and hydrate the skin all at the same time. It’s a must! Just be sure to only use at night! I’ve been using their Vitamin C Serum for a few weeks now and I’ve loved it! My skin has looked more even-toned and brighter! Highly recommend this one. There is a reason why it has over 1000 five star reviews!
It’s safe to say that I really enjoyed 100 Percent Pure products, both makeup and skincare. And these are products I will continue to use daily! Since I’ve loved them so much, I’ve already done a little more digging around their website and I’m really excited to try their Cocoa Butter Matte Lipstick and their Vitamin C Mask. I hope this post gives you some insight into a new brand and helps you find some new products that will get you feeling like the best version of yourself! I love this brand so much, and have been using it since 2005. I’m so excited to see you wrote a review on it. Have you tried the multi-vitamin & antioxidant PM facial oil? It’s one of my favorites along with the water foundation. it really helps even out skin tone and brighten my skin. My skin literally looks better if I use their makeup everyday. I hope some of your readers try this amazing brand out!
